DIY Glitter Paste with WOW Sparkles..... By Jo Herbert

Hi WOW Paper Crafting Peeps, Jo here bringing to you a very exciting new technique.

Can you imagine making an array of your very own glitter paste?
Well today I show case a technique by using the WOW Sparkles range mixed with Ranger Texture Paste in a Transparent Gloss.

I started off with ink blending some Lawn Fawn Stitched Heart die cuts with Ranger Distress Oxide inks which what I will add my layer of glitter paste on top off.

I made sure the inked die cuts where thoroughly dry but heat setting with my heat gun.
I then moved on to making the paste. To pick up the paste from the jar I used a plastic spatula which is the tool of choice to also mix and combine the sparkles powder and paste.

The WOW crafting mat is really good to protect your surface as well as use as a mixing pallet.

Check out my You Tube on the mixing process.

For the card base I have used white top folding cardstock and black cardstock to die cut the Avery-Elle Horizontal Stripes background die. For the sentiments both hugs dies and add on prayers stampset I have adhered this down on the glitter hearts with either a liquid or foam adhesives.

I hope you enjoyed today's card creations and would love to hear your thoughts on this technique.

''Have the Sparkliest Birthday ever!'' CAS card by Ola

Hello there and welcome back !

Today I would like to show you how to make a clean and simple card using Floral Stamp and WOW ''Born to Sparkle'' stamp set.  Also , I will show you how to add gorgeous WOW Sparkles to make your card sparkle.

Here it is

As you can see it is not a very complicated card, but a simple card with WOW factor. So let me tell you how I have made my flower  sparkle.

For this card you will need:

Standard card blank
Piece of red/ pink cardstock
White cardstock
Markers - green
Any floral stamp
WOW ''Born to Sparkle'' stamp set
WOW Embossing Pad
WOW Heat Tool
WOW Bonding powder
WOW Sparkles ( Premium Quality Glitter)
Glue and 3D foam pad
Enamel dots
Stamping tool or acrylic block

I started my card by stamping the flower onto red / pink cardstock piece. When it was done, I cleaned my stamp and stamped my flower over with clear embossing pad.

Now is the time to make the glitter mixture. Using 1:1 ratio I mixed bonding powder with glitter and sprinkled it over my stamped image.
I heated it from under the cardstock to ensure that the glitter is not blown away.

For my next step, I fuzzy cut my flower and moved to the next step.
I have used my stamping platform to add the sentiment ''Have the Sparkliest Birthday ever!'' next to my flower.

Then I stamped my stamp ,using a black ink pad, onto a white cardstock piece which I previously die cut into a rectangular shape with two rounded corners.

I coloured in the leaves using Copic Markers and mount my fuzzy cut flower on top of the stamped image using 3D foam pad.

I added coloured cardstock to the back of my top panel before mounting onto the card blank and finally, added enamel dots.

Glimmering ATCs by Riikka

Moikka! It's Riikka here today sharing a step by step to some sparkling spring ATCs. My inspiration for these was the color combo of the "Mint Macaroon" and the "Opaque Pastel Yellow" powders. That combo of the minty green and pale yellow was so fresh and spring-like that I just had to use it!

Above you can see the ready triplet of cards. What looks like kraft cardstock in the first glance is actually triple embossed cream cardstock! The earthy, greyish color of the "Primary Goose" powder acts as the perfect base for the sherbet styled colors coming on top. But if you want to see how the cards were made, please see the step by step below!

Step 1. Start by cutting ATC sized pieces of cardstock and triple emboss them using the "Primary Goose". I used a light cream shade of cardstock and turned it almost into a kraft cardstock with the powder.

Step 2. Add a subtle pattern to the cards by using the "Tropical" stamp and the "Mint Macaroon" powder. The parly powder is visible in certain light and gives a lovely, subtle background to the cards.

Step 3. Add some minty acrylic paint to the cards and after it's dried add some stamping on top. I used the script stamp from the "Wall Art" stamp set

Step 4. Use the "Opaque Pastel Yellow" powder in two different ways. First add yet another stamped layer to the cards using another stamp from the "Wall Art" stamp set and emboss with yellow. Make some roses, too, with the powder using the Melt-It powder and the "Rose Quartet" mold

Step 5. Combine the roses to the cards and make a composition underneath them. Use some yellow wire and sewing thread. Staple the wire in place and adhere the roses on top of the thread, locking it to the card.

Step 6. Add some sparkle and shine to the cards using two colors of Sparkles, the "Twinklebelle" and "Girls Best Friend". Use a soft adhesive, such as Soft Gloss Gel, and apply it with a brush you wish to glitter and then sprinkle the glitter on top. Treat the edges of the cards as well. Let dry.

Step 7. Finish your cards with some text stickers and crystal stickers. Add the name of the card, your own name and year to the back of the cards. Then swap away!

There you have it! Embossing powders in a couple of ways, stamping to make different layers and adding sweet sparkle as the finishing detail.

Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you all the best!

xoxo Riikka

Too Sparkly? Never!! by Jaine

What's not to love about this months theme? Everyone needs some sparkle in their lives at some point.

I've tried to embrace the theme without going totally over the top, well I had to have a little restraint before it ended up looking like an explosion.

The stamp sentiment started me off, it's such a cute quote the rest came quite easily.

I started with a few die cut shapes of flowers and leaves and selected some of my favourite sparkly powders and glitters.

I loved embossing the shapes with glitter powder especially mixing and matching colours together.

When it came to covering the flowers I mixed Clear powder with Sparkles to create my own sparkly embossing powder.

I like to experiment and mixing coloured powders with coloured glitters produced some beautiful results.

The butterfly is what came out from the blend.

When putting the card together I layered everything using 3d gel to get some dimension on the card. I cut the sentiment apart so I could space it out better and ran a thin black liner pen around the edge of each word.

Have a sparkly day.

Sparkling Butterfly - Mixed Media Video by Susanne

Hi there!

I'm sharing a mixed media tag today. My focal point on this tag is a lovely sparkling butterfly!

I used the Tim Holtz Butterfly Duo BigZ die and cut it from cardstock that was covered with doublesided tape. After exposing the sticky, I covered it completely with WOW! Sparkles "Jade". This is my favourite way to add glitter to a die cut. To add texture I used the coordinating embossing folder and run it through my Big Shot.

I recorded the complete process for you. Enjoy the video:

Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful week!
xx Susanne.
