Card with flowers "Make A Wish"

Hello, everyone! Today it is Victoria here with inspiration in turquoise and blue colours. I created a card, inspired by an early spring - cold, with ice and snow from time to time. First of all I took a piece of watercolour paper 10x14 cm in size and covered it with a clear acrylic medium through the stencil. While the  medium  was still wet, I poured  WS125 Under the Sea  embossing powder. When the medium became dry, I heat set the powder with a  WOW! Heat Tool - Euro  and got a great, raised texture. I sprayed it with a turquoise aqua spray and the embossing powder created resist effect. Then I added lace to the background. Also I die-cut two borders out of white cardstock, covered it with embossing ink using  Wow Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad  and applied two coats of  WH19 Bluetiful  embossing powder. Also I die cut another wide border, stamped the pattern from  Sparkle & Shine (by Maya Isaksson) - Clear Stamp Set  and used the same  WH19 Bluetiful  powder. I

FLY - Mixed Media Artist Trading Card

Hi everyone! Susanne writing today and I like to share this mixed media Artist Trading Card (ATC). I used the lovely "Mariposa" stamp set together with the "Funky Border Strips". I have a step by step tutorial for you: 1. Take a piece of card board and remove some of the front surface. That works easy when you wet it at first. Prime it with gesso and emboss the group of butterflies with Opaque Bright White powder. 2. Use Twinkling H2Os or other shimmering watercolors to color the background. The embossing resists the watercolor and the butterflies pop.  3. While your card dries you'll have time to create the embellishments. I picked two of the middle sized butterflies and embossed them with Metallic Gold Rich Powder. After that I colored each butterfly with Distress Inks.  4. Add more interest to the background with the script stamp using a permanent black ink.  5. Use the WOW! Embossing Pen to add Iced Silver Powder into s

Hello dear friends! Martha Lucia here to share with you a technique that I love to use to create a glamorous and unique piece of art. Usually I use this technique to create cards but you can make whatever you want. To make this technique you only need a stencil, texture paste and any color of Embossing Glitter . In my sample I used WOW Midnight Dream Embossing Glitter . Let me show you how easy it is to make this. First you have to secure your card stock under the stencil. I used the Bold Floral Stencil from Hero Arts. Then apply the texture paste using a pallet or knife until have an uniform layer.  As soon you finish, remove your stencil and cover the entire surface with the Wow Midnight Dream Embossing Glitter . Let it dry totally before melting the embossing with the heat tool . It can take a few hours, but if you wait enough time you avoid big globes on the texture produced by the heat. Resize your embossed piece and paste this over the card base.  In my s

Popped Hearts Card

Hi lovely readers! It's Fran here today with your WOW! inspiration. The hearts silicone mould is so cute I thought I would really go to town with it on this mixed media card. I firstly stamped a card blank with the arrows stamp from the Sparkle & Shine set then layered with card and cork which I'd punched holes into. Using the circle stamp from the Pick 'n' Mix stamps to create a pattern around the cork and highlight the punched holes which I'd set adhesive gems into. For the cork I spread black gesso into the centre to create texture then stuck clay hearts I'd made with the WOW mould into the wet gesso. I sprinkled over Opaque White, Midas Touch and Metallic Gold Rich powders over which I melted with a heat gun. This created a lovely shimmer over the black and the powders picked up the peaks and tooth of the gesso. Have a wonderful day Fran x Where to Buy: UK Shop US Shop

Hi WOW's fan. This is Laurence (laury55) today to show you a page in my garden journal. Spring is round the corner even if it is still cold here in Belgium but days are longer and brighter with already some flowers ready to bloom. I started to run double sided glue tape on the top left corner and on the left side of my page and thereafter covered it with WOW Clear Matt Dull Regular . When heat embossed embossing powder resist when applying watercolor on the background. I loaded a wet brush with PVA glue and flicked it over my background. Depending on how liquid the glue is you may cover section or spots only (like in the right bottom corner of my page). Cover with Under the Sea Embossing Glitter and heat emboss. I wanted to add dimension and covered a gem with the same embossing powder. The leaves from the Flights of Fancy sheet is embossed with Wow Primary Pixie and cut out. I hope my page will inspire you.
