CHALLENGE- Embossing on Fabric

Hi Jenifer here with you today to present our next challenge.  Did you know you could emboss on fabric?  Well you can, and just imagine all the possibilities :) I have embossed on some plain muslin and made these cute gift tags for Christmas. Here is a close up of the Metallic Platinum Sparkle embossing glitter on white muslin.  You emboss on fabric the same way you would on paper.
Here is a close up of the bright white embossing powder. These "Tags"  they are super easy to make all you need is 2 pieces of fabric and a piece of felt sandwiched in the middle and sew around all the edges.  Embellish as desired.  I plan to use these on some layouts after they come off the packages.

I hope this has inspired you to create some of your own custom embellishments. I hope you play along.

Subtle Tones and Gratitude with Jen Matott

Hi!  Jen Matott here with a simple page that uses a simple technique.  The design here is based on the tags. I wanted to create a soft, romantic feel here.  Lots of lace, doilies, and subtle hues all around.
I stamped the leaves and hearts from the "Gratitude" set  and the hearts from the same set and embossed with Bright White powder.
The tags were colored with subtle tones from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Pens.   I also colored the lace paper tape with them as well.

I love that I can create a big impact with very subtle tones.  The Bright White powder is one of my favorites especially in resist techniques.  In this case, I created a wash of color with the pens and water.  I literally colored over the embossed areas without fear of it sticking to the embossed areas.  It creates impact without a lot of effort!

Our wish for you

A bright and happy hello!  Jen Roach here and today I have a cheery and bright layout to share with you.  I added some WOW! to my layout by stamping and embossing some stamped images on the background paper and also adding some glitter to the edges of the die cut paper.

I glittered the edges of the die cut paper using a WOW! Embossing Pen and some the Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing powder.  It's very quick and easy to get precise lines and add glitter anywhere you like!

You can also see a close up of how I added some stamped images and embossed with the WOW! Opaque white powder.

If you look closely you can see I added a bling circle I added around the "wish" that my daughter blew off the dandelion.  I was kinda proud that I managed to capture that in the photo :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Blast From the Past!

Jen here and it's my 20th high school reunion this weekend (and my 38th birthday;) and I thought as a tribute to those good times, I'd create a layout with my senior portrait from *gasp* 1992!
My graduating class started posting photos from our time in high school on our Facebook page and I went digging for "old" photos... I found lots of fun and memorable ones.  There was no Facebook or email then... I guess it was a simpler time.  Can you imagine what we would have done with that technology?

This layout was fun to make!  I started with a woodgrain paper and added VersaMark ink through some punchinella and added WOW!  Bright white powder to it.  I love this powder... it's so opaque and bright!
Next, I stamped a Basically Bare chipboard frame with VersaMark and used Bronze Metallic on it.  I added some more VersaMark and mixed Cotton Candy and Earthtone Olive to create a patina look to the frame.

Underneath that fun frame, I layered a canvas page from Basically B…

Thank You in Purple!!!

Hi, I hope everyone is making it through this middle of the week Wednesday!!! I have a card to share with you today and I love purple, so I decided to focus on it with the powders and trims! I've used Suzy's "Gratitude" stamp set and a couple of purple powders.

First, I found some random chipboard blooms and embossed them with the Suzy West Berrylicious and WOW Earthtone Grape. Then I stamped the sentiment from the "Gratitude" stamp set and embossed with the WOW Opaque Bright White. I did the same thing with the little ribbon chippie accent.

For the title I just embossed with the Earthtone Grape and chose the "thank you" from the stamp set. I used pop dots for some dimension.

I added some beautiful purple ribbon and trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I just love the sheer butterfly trim. I added a little Baker's twine too!
These stamps are so versatile, I find myself using them all the time, they're so easy when you need a quick card and the …
