Enjoy with Irit and WOW! sketch

Hello my dear crafty friends! Today I share a card made with WOW! Embossing powders May sketch. Actually we have 4 different sketches, so this is just one I loved and used for my card.

The basic card is a vellum one. The second layer is the black glitter cardstock. Then I stamped De-Vine stamp using VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with Bright White Super fine powder.
As the next step I used 4 Gelatos to color the background  under the stamped image and wiped the surface with a baby wipe, so the white image stayed non colored.
Then the whole stamped piece was inked again with the same clear ink and I  heat embossed it all over with Clear  Gloss embossing powder.

The whole double embossed piece was cut to fit the sketch and my card base and glued with 3d foam glue.
I added the sentiment and a few more puffy stickers to make this finished card that is good for anyone and for any occasion.
It's your time to play with our sketches and even to win some great products!

Spring is here - with Irit

Hello my dear crafty  friends!
Irit is here and this is my Spring ART Journal spread made with a lot(I mean it) of WOW!Embossing Powders and as I am very new to art journalling I just hope you like my work.

First I used some acrylics to cover those pages with a mix of spring colours. Then I added some texture paste with masks using Memory box Modern Flower Power mask and a mix of embossing powders over it.
Powders used are:
Calypso
Opaque Primary Sunny Yellow
Vanilla white
Opaque Pastel Purple
Primary Lemon
Then I added those masked children figures covered with a thick layer of Primary Lemon powder and I even heat embossed them twice to get this 3d look. I used Tando mask to make those figures.

Another Memory box mask was used to make the sun  on the left corner and I added both yellow powders used before and then some  Orange and a bit of Peach Gleam to get this sun look on my page.

As art pages should be flat (we do need to close the journal) I just added the stamped sentiment (stamped…

My favorite colors with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here and those are my projects for our My favourite things challenge for September.
All of us have a lot of favourites: colours, products, techniques and  styles. Lately I try to be more versatile both in styles and in colour picks, so today I am going to show you my latest love: clean and simple projects in black and white colours.
My first project is an altered wooden kitchen board made into this " to do" chalkboard .

I made this kitchen wooden board to my TO DO LIST board, using chalkboard paint, Tando stencil and chipboards. All chippies were heat embossed with  PUFF white embossing powder and you can write with white marker over this paint and erase it later.

My second project is a black and white one again; made over wood again, but this time I stamped over the painted wood using VersaMarkink and Regular bright  white embossing powderover the letters. It really works great over the painted wood. The chipboard shapes were heat embosse…

My poppies garden with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here and this is our Garden month . I love flowers : to smell, to get and to scrap, not to grow them on my own. But growing over the page with WOW! EMBOSSING POWDERS is easy and so much fun! So here is my scrapbooking page full of  poppies and of powders all together.

I worked with white cardstock as my base and first I stamped A LOT of flowers with  Opaque Bright White Regular powder over Versamark embossing ink.

As the next step I used white textured paste of unknown origin (who really cares about the paste brand name if it works? ) and sprinkled a lot of Primary Sherbert, Opaque Primary Mandarin and Primary Apple Red powders. Heat embossing over wet texture paste gives us this totally gorgeous dimensional result we can see over my heat embossed poppies.
Some textured butterflies and dragonflies were also heat embossed over the wet paste, but now I used some delicate glitter powders such asPrincess Pink and Amber Rose.

Then I used some mists al…

Love life with Irit and WOW!

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here with our first monthly inspiration and this is our Antique month. So here we go:  the old  chipboard piece got this new " outfit" , also in a very vintage style, but still new one.

First I covered the chipboard with a thick layer of gesso ; then it was covered with a mix of old tapes, all kinds and companies.
The basic tapes were covered with another layer of thin gesso and then I used texture paste to make all those swirls with Tando mask. The wet paste was covered with Metallic Gold Rich  Regular powder and heat embossed all over.
The chipboard shapes were heat embossed partly withPrimary Ebony Super Finepowder and then I addedRuby Romance glitter over the still bare parts.

The  whole board was misted with a mix of gold, pink and light yellow mists (LSG).
Then I made WOW! molded shapes: Shabby rose and this big fancyOrnate  heart. Both were made with Melt-it and a pitch of color. The heart shape was then embossed over with the sa…

Making wood grain texture over wood with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here today and this is my take of our Wood monthly challenge.
Actually I worked over wooden surface, but then I made my own wood grain texture using our fantastic WOW! Embossing powders and the result is quite interesting.
Here is my finished project: wooden wall deco that  was made with chipboards and masks only and tons of WOW! products.

This medium size wooden kitchen board was flat and with no texture, so I made  it with a wood grain stencil and textured paste. I added   Paprika, Nutmeg and Honey powders over wet textured paste and heat embossed them. Then I misted with a few Lindy's Stamp Gang brown and  golden mists and sprinkled some more embossing powders over it. As the last step I  used clear embossing ink over the raised areas and added some more powders to get this wood grain look of the background.
The chipboard shapes were painted with Gelatos and heat embossed with clear embossing powder (some of them) ; some of them were heat e…

Welcome home door sign

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Welcome to our Wood month and today I  have a small tutorial for you.
This is my very first Embossing the wood tutorial and I think most of us never tried to make the direct embossed wood. So here we go.
This is  NO PAPER project and all you need are 3 stencils with small designs (don't pick the big ones as we want to see the pattern and not the edges or some random shapes.) Put your stencil over the wood piece, cover it all with Clear embossing  ink.

Add colourful embossing powders over it and heat emboss. Then mist the whole piece with some brown mist if you like the darker wood look, as I did here.

Then pick some small wood shapes and make  just the same over those pieces too. Use other stencils and other powders colours.

Add your title and arrange  the embossed hearts around.

This is all. Kind of easy and lovely project for all of us who keep those old and unused wooden pieces from our high school crafty days...

Embossing chipboard to make fancy cards

Hello, my dear crafty friends! Irit is here and this time I want to show you a couple of cards I made with Wow Embossing Powders and Wow stamps. This is my last post on USA team and I am moving to WOW EMBOSSING POWDERS UK/GLOBAL team from January, also  those are still pretty much same gorgeous products I designed with for a year.
The first card is this very lovely Bee Happy card.
I used Prima papers, a piece of Honeycomb A2Z Scraplets chipboard and Wow stamp HAPPY from the  Everyday Sentiments set.
The chipboard piece was inked with clear embossing  ink and then heat embossed twice with  Soar Lemon Yellow embossing powder. The Happy word was a part of Happy Birthday sentiment, but I used this plastic Bee for a part of my Bee Happy sentiment after all. I  Used the same Yellow powder for the word Happy.

My second card is this shabby, but yet clean and simple card, made with Brocade background stamp . I used light blue cardstock and white ink to stamp on it, and them heat embossed it with

Broken Glass technique tutorial

Hello, my dear crafting friends! Irit is here today with my Broken Glass technical tutorial.
All you need to make this broken glass look is a big background stamp , clear embossing ink and a lot of Clear embossing powders.
Step 1:
Pick your WOW Embossing Powders stamp. I picked Suzy West  French Music Background stamp.
Stamp a background stamp with permanent ink. I used black Memento, but any permanent ink will do the job. Please, not any kind of pigmented ink as it will be a mess after the first heat embossing step, unless you want to heat the stamped background a lot before the next step.

Step 2:
Cover the entire  stamped piece with  Clear embossing ink  and add a thick layer of  Clear Gloss Ultra High  embossing powder. Heat it and add 2-3 more layers of the same powder.  Cool it and add more clear ink all over. Now add a thick layer of  Clear Gloss Super  Fine embossing powder and heat it again. Make it 2-3 more times with the fine powder. The fine powder should cover  some spaces tha…

My small altered gift box

Hello, my dear crafting friends! Today I am going to show you my new recycled gift box that can be done in no time with some chipboards and a lot of WOW Embossing powders.

So first is was this clear box I got with some embellishments from my other DT, then I've seen that this box is just perfect to be altered. I wrapped it with 4-5 different washi tapes first. The second  step was to cover this bird cage and birds chipboards from Tando Creative. The coverage was  done with Frosty white Clearsnap ink and then the cage was heat embossed with White Regular Embossing powder and   bit of  Suzy West Earthtone Honey  powder was sprinkled over it for  an older look. The birds were first white inked and then heat embossed with a mix of  Opaque Pastel blue, Glitter Blue and  Bay Area Blue powders.  Prima fabric tape was misted and then I stamped this Just Because sentiment from Wow sentiments set (not much seen due the ribbon and a bad lighting, but believe me it's seen  proper in live)

Moments to share

Hello, my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here and this time with a project that maybe looks like a card, but it's not a card but an altered chipboard.  When this project was crafted I was still waiting for my new stamps and powders, so I used whatever I had and WOW- I really like the final result.

I made this altered chipboard mini tray with Tando Creative chippies and added a piece of 7 Gypsies paper to the back. Then the fun with embossing began.
First I added a  strip of double sided glue to this boat chipboard and then heat embossed it with Cotton  Candy blue powder. Then I covered this embossed strip and painted the boat with white pigmented ink and heat embossed it with a several layers of Clear Ultra High Gloss  embossing powder.
The frame was heat embossed with  Earthtone Blueberry.
The arrows - with Earthtone Nutmeg  and the compass with just a bit of Cotton Candy.
All pieces were connected to this travel tray and  some Tim Holtz stickers and a nib were the last touch.
I hope you …

WOW- it looks like a real gold

Hello , my dear Wow freinds! Irit is here today and I am going to share my chipboard wearable jewelry piece made from the chipboards, but finally looks like a real " thing".
I used Tando Creative chipboard jewelry chipboard that comes with the back and the upper piece. The upper piece was heat embossed with Wow Metallic Gold Rich , 3 layers to get this golden look. Then I added copper micro beads inside and glued it with Ice Resin mixture (long- long- long..... drying time, but looks like a real glass).
The lower piece is another Tando jewelry chipboard, covered with the same embossing powder again and I added some " gold" tassel over it.
To make is rich I added some flowers and covered the back with Ice Resin to prevent from the body sweat.

Hope you like this rich golden WOW look and see you next month!

Call me card

Hello, my dear crafting friends! Irit is here again and after a long layouts posting, this time I made a card.
This is a travel time. Summer vacation  is just around and we all travel. So I made this card to make my dear friend  to call me (she is going to visit her family in USA )
I used October Afternoon travel collection  to make the card, and then added Call me  stamp set phones and a sentiment, heat embossed with Suzy West Cable Red embossing powder and  Ivory Black Regular one.
I also embossed the basic cardstock with the same Cable Red around using Versamark Watermark embossing ink.
And a close up on phones:
Hope you are going to make some Travel cards for your friends with our fantastic Wow goodies!

In love with Red and Black and WOW powders

Hello, my dear crafting friends! Irit is here again and this time with a small tutorial.
Lately I am a kind of Washi tape addict , so I decided to try to stamp and to heat embossover those tapes and also it works, but with  some catch after all.(Continue to read ...)
First of all pick your tapes and adhere some pieces over a non sticky plastic (I used the cheap baking reusable backing sheet, also I have this Ranger fancy one, the small and 2$ piece is just fine).

Now pick some small stamps : I picked heart strip   from With Gratitude set and a heart from It's a Bird set. Now stamp  over your tape. I used white ink and  Opaque Bright White Wow Embossing powder, but it can be any Clear  embossing  ink and any other powder colors as far as it's visible over the washi tape.

And now for the catch: after I made my heat embossing, the delicate adhesiveunder the tape  became useless. So we can  grab our  tapes and to adhere them over our project, but then we need to secure them a bit with…

Thank you card and a lot of embossing

Hello, my dear crafty friends! Iritis here today and this time I am going to show you my new and very much embossed card.
For a long 4-5 month I was doing scrapbooking pages and altered projects for this  blog and this month was my turn to make a card. So I made one and then I decided to enter it to the web magazine and they  took it for the publication.Good news and bad news. As this card can't be posted here till August and I had to make another card for this post.
So here is the new card-summer colors, but in a kind of a muter way.
I very simple card made for WOW Embossing Powders blog post.

I used this Flowers Wow stamp and then heat embossed it with 4 summery embossing powders: Sour Lemon, Whirly Pop, Gummy Bear Green, Cotton Candy
My  tip here is to use a white pigment ink and not a Clear embossing one as I really want to see that the whole stamp will be shown. The second tip is  to put your cardstock on the top of your inked stamp and to use some roller  to get better impression…
