Spring Has Sprung!

Hi everyone, I hope you have all been getting inspired by all the beautiful makes on the blog this month. As the weather is getting better I thought I would create a fresh, modern looking card for you.

1 Take a 17.5 X 12.5cm square white card blank and die-cut a circle through the front towards the top. Hand draw orange lines around the outside edges.

2 Stamp the Tropical stamp on vellum with a clear embossing pad and sprinkle with Opaque Bright White embossing powder. Tap off the excess and melt with a heat tool.

3 Stamp a sentiment in blue ink,  sprinkle with Midnight Dream embossing powder and melt as before. Cut into two pennants and attach to the left hand side of the circular aperture.

4 Attach the vellum behind the aperture with foam pads. Stamp flowers from the Hey Little Flower stamp set in three pretty colours and emboss with different powders. Layer up some of the flowers with foam pads.
5 Attach two flowers above the sentiment with foam pads. Glue twine to the backs of the othe…

Canvas Fun

I have had so much fun making this canvas.  I was very lucky to receive a melting pot from my amazing boss Elena for Christmas  :-)  I have not stopped playing with it.    So for this project I have made a canvas using the WOW molds and Embossing powder.

This months theme is Fabric,  I added a panel of burlap and  gesso to the canvas.  I used distress paint to give the back ground some colour.  Once it was dried I added embellishments . Which I made with embossing powders :-)

For this flower I made with Black Ultra High Embossing Powder and added some Blue Perfect pearls to it.

I made the branches using the Ultra High Gold Embossing Powder and  a cake mold along with the leaves.  For the leaves I used a mixture of Green Wow Embossing Powders.

To attach them to my canvas I have used really tackie glue,  you could used a heat gun too.

When I had finished with a colour in the melting pot I tipped it out onto a non stick, heat resistant craft mat.  Sometimes it came out in drops (orange)…

Flutter By Butterfly!

Hi there, Rachel here with my project for this month's 'Nature' theme.
I decided to go with a layout this month as I had some photo's that I took in my garden last year and have been waiting for the right moment to scrap them.

I am fortunate enough to have a couple of 12"x12" sheets WOW! Resist Paper. These papers are already embossed and take ink, paint and chalk beautifully. They are available to purchase in mixed patterned 6"x 6" packs on the website.
