Pinterest-Worthy Pins - a Metal Project for WOW!

At least a decade has passed since all the hype of "Flair" hit the big screen in the movie, "The Office". Collecting or earning buttons and badges, wearing buttons, pinning buttons to 'real' bulletin board have been fads we've all been through over time. More recently, my latest fascination with buttons and badges has been in paper crafts!

The touch of color these button (or badge) embellishments add are fun and simple to recreate with your WOW Powders and some metal disks.

Here are a few I made using a white Ultra High powder for texture and washi tape, a new vibrant pink called Fuschsia Fusion with wording in white Sharpie, and a more country-style, distressed looking Blueberry pin (older powder from the Pantry collection) that was inspired by a badge I saw online.

You can upcycle small buttons (pull off the pins with some pliers), or small flat disks, or some plain button covers. Button covers are available at the sewing notions store. I happened …

WOW! Sunshine.....

Hi Folks, well this soon rolls round! Here I am again with my offering for this month's theme Summer & Sunshine.
As soon as I saw this theme I knew that I wanted to create a simple, sunny canvas using the WOW! Embossing Powders.

I drew the sun on a canvas that I had covered with a neutral acrylic paint and then proceeded to colour it in using a WOW!Embossing Pen. I used Primary Lemon E/P for the rays edged with Opaque  Primary Mandarin and then built up my sun using the same colours. I added quite a few layers to the sun as I wanted some texture, (I think you can just see that in the picture below).

Next I covered the whole canvas in Versamark Ink and embossed the complete piece with Pearlescent Orange E/P to tone down the vibrancy and give a lovely shine to the whole canvas. The wooden embellishment was coloured with Promarkers and then embossed in Clear E/P. I stamped out the wording, cut it out and added it to finish.

I hope this sunny canvas makes you think of hot days - j…

Flutter By Butterfly!

Hi there, Rachel here with my project for this month's 'Nature' theme.
I decided to go with a layout this month as I had some photo's that I took in my garden last year and have been waiting for the right moment to scrap them.

I am fortunate enough to have a couple of 12"x12" sheets WOW! Resist Paper. These papers are already embossed and take ink, paint and chalk beautifully. They are available to purchase in mixed patterned 6"x 6" packs on the website.

Show A Little Love

Hello all, Donna here in little ol New Zealand.

Today's share is a project that I created for fun and thought it would be perfect to share with you all this month.  I am very lucky to have an amazing boss who lets me bring toys from work home.  I have admired this die for some time and thought it would be lots of fun to play with.

For this project I used a Versamark Ink Pad and  Clear Gloss Embossing Powder.
It is very simple.
I have inked my die cuts and then added layers of embossing powders till I got the desired effect.  In total I used  5 to 10 layers of embossing powder.
Tip:   used tweezers so you don't burn your fingers :-)

I hope you have enjoyed my share today and I will be back next month.
Before I go have you checked out this months challenge, there is still time for you to enter.  I have been a long and looked at all the entries so far and they are all stunning, so If you are after some inspiration go check it out.
