Thank You and Goodbye

Hello crafty friends, I hope you’re all getting prepared for Christmas and looking forward to the holidays. I’m a little sad today as this will be my final DT post for WOW. I have loved being part of the team for nearly two years but with various other things going on now seems the right time for me to step down. So here’s my final post for you all.....

To start this card I ran some double-sided tape down the right-hand side of some burgundy card then sprinkled Fireworks Sparkles on top.

I then used the Pink & Main Directional Borders stamp down the right-hand side of some white card and sprinkled a mixture of  Oasis and Avocado Regular Powder on top before melting with a heat tool. I then used the matching Pink & Main Directional Borders Die over the stamped image then added a little ink over the design.

I used the Big Words Stamp with Bark Powder for the sentiment then layered the glittered and stamped card onto my card base. I then die-cut three feathers and triple embossed them with a mixture of  Misty Sky, Avocado and Emerald City Glitter before shaping with my fingers.

Finally, I stamped the Pink & Main Fun Washi on vellum, cut out then attached the washi to the tops of the fathers before fixing to the card front.

So, I would love to wish you all an amazing Christmas.
and I would like to thank Marion for the last two years in this wonderful team.

Much love,

Glitter, Shine and Metallic .........with Pink & Main

Hi All, Jo here and welcome to today's blog post.

This month the Design Team have had the pleasure on working on projects to collab with the Pink & Main products now available in the WOW store.

The cards I have made is simple yet striking as the embossing powders I have used both metallic and glitter mix speak for themselves.

I'm hoping that you can see in these cards the effectiveness yet simplicity of this simple card layout doesn't need to be over complicated at all.

The background stampset I have used is the WOW's "POP" background.

For the sentiment I have used the versatile "Congrats" stamp and coordinating die from Pink & Main.
This fabulous stampset and die can also be layered as it has the detailed script of the word as well as the out layer of the sentiment.

I have created a video show casing these embossing powders and stamps.

Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed today's card creations.

Light - a layout by Riikka

Hi there and happy December! It's the middle of the winter and I'm sharing a layout with flowers with you... maybe a bit off the season, but the inspiration for the blooms came from the cute bear stamp by Pink and Main which I used as an embellishment in my page. And maybe it's good to think about the summer, blooms and warm weather when it's dark and gloomy outside!

The page is about light, more specifically light at the end of the tunnel. It's quite the same with winter, in a way. Through the rough patch and into the light! And as it's almost Holiday season, I didn't want to do and show anything too heavy or hard, just something light and nice to do between chores of getting ready for Christmas!

As always, I took step by step photos along the way when working with the layout. Underneath you can see how the page came together!

Step 1. Start by making a resist to the background. I stamped some text in there using two stamp sets, "Big Words" and "Wild About You". Then I embossed the words using white embossing powder.

Step 2. Add color on top to reveal the resist. I used different shades of purple watercolor as my color choice and added some splashes, too.

Step 3. While the watercolor was drying I made some purple buttons using a silicone mold and "Parma Violet" powder. After the watercolor was dry, I added some white gesso to the page. I made some splashes with it and also made a ray pattern under the place where my photo is going to be.

Step 4. Layer some papers behind the photo and then add the cluster to the page. Stamp the bear to a piece of paper, color with watercolor pencils. Start to embellish the page using the bear and the buttons you've made.

Step 5. Continue embellishing the page and make it fuller. Adhere blooms here and there and make also another set of buttons using the vanilla and "Sweet Cheeks" powders. Adhere the new buttons to the page as well.

Step 6. Finish the page with a title made with alphabet stickers and hand-written journaling. Add also a couple of hand drawn details here and there to really make the page yours.

With this page I want to wish you all a lovely Holiday time - peaceful Christmas and great start to the new year! May it be even lighter than this year!

All the best,

Christmas Card - Video Tutorial by Susanne

Hi there!

I have a Christmas card tutorial for you today! I used Distress Inks, a lot of embossing and glitter!

The lovely Poinsettia and the background snowflakes are stamps from Rubber Dance. I used a Sizzix (Tim Holtz) from Sizzix and the Sizzix Greenery dies to embellish the card.

Enjoy the video:

Thank you for stopping by today!
I wish you a wonderful week!
xx Susanne.

Let it snow...

This is my last DT member realisation for WOW. It was a hard decision for me to leave the DT and I'll miss it. I am very thankful for having been part of this adventure. Marion has a fabulous team which will keep on inspiring and challenging us all.
My project today is a card with my favorite colors for the season: mint and gold.

I adhered paper and added stamping using WOW Hears and Twine stamps.

I melted WOW Neptune embossing powder and cut 2 snowflakes with a die.

Self-made "enamel dots" are easy to make. I melted WOW gold pearl, vanilla white and Melt-it powder in a foil case. Be careful it is very hot !!! and let some drops fall on a plastic sheet. You may also let your drops fall directly on your project.

Thank you for your visit. I hope you will join our current challenge.

I'm sure you'll all join me in saying a great big THANK YOU to Laurence for all her gorgeous projects and hard work, we're really going to miss you.
Here's the fab products Laurence used on the gorgeous card….

Blog Hop line up starts here

I feel like I'm cheating a bit on this one as it's not my card, but I had to share it as it's so fab !!!
I've already given a little peek on our Facebook Page, so this is for all of you who aren't on Facebook.

First off, Well done Polly on such a lovely shaker card… I don't have step by steps (I'm breaking all the rules here… sorry) as it was made in a rush at the NEC.. the girl's brilliant !!

It's fairly self explanatory, just always remember once you've die cut, place your acetate on and then position your foam pads around the die cut close together so no Sparkles can escape !!!

What I love most about these Pink and Main Stamps and Dies is the tiny intricate snowflake dies, they make it soooooo easy and NO fussy cutting !!!
Everyone loves a shaker card… what's not to love !!! Merry Christmas EVERYONE !!!
And THANK YOU for all your support this last year, we really appreciate you.
