What is WOW! Glintz Embossing Powder?

The WOW! Glintz embossing powder line was new to me so I thought I'd share a bit of info in case they're new to you too. Glintz powders feature subtle shades of mixed golds and silvers. Simply put, if metallic embossing powder and pearl embossing powder had a baby, it would be Glintz.

These powders are luxurious making them perfect for special occasion cards such as weddings, anniversaries, invitations, and sophisticated stationery to name a few. Glintz embossing powders are translucent so I encourage you to experiment with them on colored cardstocks to achieve different looks.

Elegant Clean and Simple Glintz Cards

Clean and simple cards have very few elements and a lot of "white" space. Therefore, it's important to start with high-quality cardstock. I used a selection of metallic cardstock from CutCardstock.com: Stardream Metallic Ruby, Stardream Metallic Rose Gold, Curious Metallic Lapis Lazuli, and Curious Metallic Virtual Pearl.

Start by stamping your backgrounds on 4.25 x 5.5-inch A2 panels. I chose backgrounds with fine lines that wouldn't overpower the overall design. The dark cardstock was embossed with WOW! Oyster Glintz and the light cardstocks with WOW! Aztec Glintz embossing powder.

Next, create your die-cuts choosing the contrasting cardstock color. I used Altenew Mega Alphabet Dies, Altenew Rose Filament Dies, and foliage die from Altenew Envelope Liner Die set.

Lastly, stamp your sentiments with an appropriate ink for semi-porous or non-porous surfaces. Staz-On Pigment inks are my favorite for metallic cardstock and vellum. It consistently stamps cleanly and dries incredibly fast which is unusual for pigment ink. It also doesn't have the strong odor of original Staz-On.

That's all for today. I hope you feel inspired to create something pretty today! We'd love to see what you're making. Please tag us @wowembossing and @notableink. Be sure to check out the WOW! Embossing Fan page on Facebook and enter the monthly challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon with more inspiration.
