Hi,
I feel very privileged to be able to do some projects for the fabulous Altenew.
They celebrate 4 years this month, and WOW! Embossing Powders have been with them along the way. And now you can join in the fun and WIN prizes !!!!
We love how our products work so well with theirs… So let me show you what I've created….
We all love a bit of Sparkle, right !!
Let's start off with a video tutorial using the Altenew Blooming Bouquet Stamps and Dies with the Crafty Friends Stamps teamed up with WOW! Sparkles and Clear Gloss.
Hugs & Kisses
With this one I used the Altenew Halftone Hearts Stamp Set with matching word dies.
On the smaller card I used Altenew Splatter Stencil (reversed), Ink Spray Sea Glass, Blooming Bouquet Dies, Halftone Hearts Stamps, WOW! Twinklebelle and A Girls Best Friend Sparkles
Here, I've used WOW! Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder, Altenew Blooming Bouquet Stamp and Die
Good luck everyone !!

- I stamped on a panel slightly smaller than my card base and embossed with WOW! Pink Robin, Goose and Bird of Paradise.
- I then die cut two hearts 'layered' in the panel, stuck the middle back in and raised the outer to create an eclipse card.
- I stamped the 'hugs & kisses' on a piece of card stock and did the Sparkle technique (instructions in the above video)
- I then die cut it and adhered it across the heart.
Hello
This is like a two for one….
The larger card was made and whilst stencilling I used the remaining ink from the stencil to create the second card. I used Altenew Splatter Stencil, Blooming Bouquet Dies, Halftone Heart Stamps, Ink Sprays in Ocean Wave and Set glass and WOW! Clear Gloss Embossing Powder.
- On a panel slightly smaller than the card base I spritzed through the stencil
- Die cut 3 'hello's'
- Using the sprays on a piece of Cut n Dry foam I coloured the top half of the words graduating down so there was no colour on the bottom.
- I inked these up and embossed them in WOW! Clear Gloss Embossing Powder
- I adhered these to the card front leaving a small gap to add my sentiment from the Half Tone Hearts Stamps.
- Lay card front directly on sprayed stencil to 'collect' the remaining ink
- Apply double sided adhesive to some card stock and die cut the 'hello' Peel off the front and sprinkle WOW! Twinklebelle Sparkles to the top side and repeat on the bottom with WOW! A Girls Best Friend Sparkles.
- Die cut 'hello' from black card stock, adhere behind the sparkled one, slightly off setting. Adhere to card front.
- Using a sentiment from the Half Tone Hearts, stamp on a scrap of card stock and adhere below the 'hello'.
Blooming Bouquet
Who can't resist white embossing on Kraft card stock, I know I can't !!Here, I've used WOW! Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder, Altenew Blooming Bouquet Stamp and Die
- Ink up the large flower from the stamp set and stamp on to kraft card front so that it stamps off the edge. Emboss with WOW! Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder.
- Stamp the word 'hello' on a piece of vellum in the Opaque Bright White
- Die cut the word 'hello' in black and adhere behind the word on the vellum, slightly off setting it.
- Adhere to the card front, hiding the glue behind the word. adhere a few sequins, again you can hide the glue behind these as well.
And that finishes my little contribution to Altenew's fabulous Blog Hop.
Happy Aanniversary Altenew… may you continue to have MANY more and keep bringing us fabulous products.

ReplyDeletebeautiful cards. Embossing powder makes the cards stand out. I am horrible with embossing powder. ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful ideas and I enjoyed your video. I love Altenew's products and am going to try Wow embossing powder!
ReplyDeleteLove the sparkle on these cards! Really adds to the images!
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to try the two-step glitter process. I am going to mark that one for future reference as a wonderful "technique to try"! And I totally agree: nothing better than white on kraft. (Although I do love some fine detail white on black for a sentiment strip, especially on some beautiful florals.) I have heard that WOW! powders are formulated to minimize static so that you don't need an embossing pouch--is that really true? Thanks for a new technique, some wonderful examples, and for sponsoring. (And...I love my mini Blossom. That was one pricey purchase that I have not regretted---not for a single moment. )
ReplyDeleteHi Bev, that certainly is true. We treat our Powders to remove the static, they are fab. Saying that, they don’t like fingerprints or moisture so always try and handle your card from the edges. The mini blossom is fab, I love it, Marion xx
DeleteWho can resist a little sparkle? Certainly not me. I love all of your cards and especially like the kraft with the white embossing. Great use of the Altenew stamps and your Wow products!

ReplyDeleteLove the Blooming Bouquet Stamps set from Altenew; especially when done with sparkle turquoise powder. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSimple but inspiring :0)
ReplyDeleteThe blooming bouquet is truly special. It is hard to believe that Mountain Dew could accomplish so much in four short years but they have. I also really like wow powders. I wish that more came in the really big jars, those are just perfect for pouring your excess powder back in the jar. I use clear more than anything else and it’s just great having that large size bottle instead of a small tube..
ReplyDeleteI love WOW embossing powders. Love the examples.
ReplyDeletegreat set of cards. some of my favorite stamps.
