Grateful For You - Raluca

Hi everyone and welcome back to our creative WOW space!
Raluca here and I'm so excited to share with you my new CAS card showcasing a couple of the fabulous WOW! stamp sets.

I created this card to play along with the "Favourite WOW! Stamps" theme for the Wow! Embossing Powder Facebook Fan Group page monthly challenge - ❤ WOW Embossing Powder Fans ❤
https://www.facebook.com/groups/WOWEPFans/

For my card I played with the gorgeous

I started my card by die cutting a white frame from WOW! Superior Smooth White Cardstock - A5. I absolutely love this cardstock! It's just a smooth, bright white and it's perfect for heat embossing and for coloring with alcohol markers! Definitely a must have in every crafter's stash!
Next on a vellum panel I heat embossed the Blossom - Clear Stamp Set using the WS31 Sparkling Snow embossing glitter. This embossing powder is gorgeous and so sparkly!

I adhered the embossed vellum panel on the back of the white frame.
Next I took a watercolor background and glued it to a white card base. I filled the inside of the shaker with different mixes of sequins and little jewels and I added foam tape on every side of the frame.
To finish the shaker part I adhered the background panel on the back of the vellum window.

From a pink cardstock I die cut the Grateful word multiple times, stacked them together and glued it on the card.
On a yellow strip of cardstock I white embossed a sentiment from the Just Saying (by Marion Emberson) - Clear Stamp Set using WL01 Bright White embossing powder. I added the strip on the card, glued a few clear sequins and my delicate shaker card was done.

Super easy to create and with such a fabulous result!
That's all from me today! Have a lovely week!
And thank you so much for stopping by,

  1. This is really pretty Raluca and the beautiful vellum panel embossed in that sparkly white looks great and a fabulous idea to make it into a shaker. x

Handy Stamp Storage Idea

Hello everyone... Happy Tuesday! :D

It's Sarah here with today's blog post created for our Monochromatic theme.

I don't know about you, but I always find I need to use stamps from a mixture of stamp sets and I thought it would be easier if I didn't have to slide each stamp set in and out of the packets all of the time.

I have a bunch of empty CD cases that I had almost thrown out but thankfully I hadn't as they turned out to be the perfect solution! The part that holds the CD easily popped out so I could then position my different stamp sets within them.

I found an old wooden CD box but it had no lid and as all clear acrylic stamps are best stored out of the light, I decided I would make a box lid for it... not just a plain lid though... a Wow Embossed box lid!

Here are brief instructions on how to make it:

STEP ONE

Using pearl silver card, I created a square to the size that I needed (145mm) and added 30mm wide rectangles around the square adding in some t…

Life's A Beach

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you're all well and getting very creative this month!
As this month's challenge is summer and I live on an island it seemed only natural that my inspiration card would feature sea and sand.
To create my beach scene I started off with a piece of pale blue card and a rubbed a Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad across the top several times. I then sprinkled WOW Peppermint Tea Powder and Under The Sea Glitter over the top, tapped off the excess and melted with a heat tool. I created the sand underneath using Gold Pearl Powder.

For the sea I ran a line of PVA glue in the middle of the sky and sand with my finger, sprinkled with Under The Sea Glitter and melted with a heat tool. For the waves I added small areas of PVA straight from the nib of the bottle when added Opaque White Powder.

The birds and sentiment I have used Opaque British Summer Powder which is one of my favourite new powders, great colour and great name!
Finally, I added beach in…

Happy memories - embossed background

I must admit I was having a bit of a problem coming up with a memory keeping project for this months post. I have been making almost only cards lately and had a bit of a problem filling a whole layout. I do make some layouts and lately I've been partial to letter sized layouts because the format remind me of cards and makes it easier for me to plan the page. This time I made a A4 sized layout because it's easier for me to find the page protectors in regular stores here. I used some good cardstock that doesn't warp much when you heat it or add water since i knew I would emboss it.
Here's what I did. I picked the pretty Chrysanthemum background stamp and embossed it in Silver Pearl embossing powder three times in a row across the background. I must admit I was more than a little inspired by Isha Guptas cards for her guest post earlier this week. I used distress inks in Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon and applied with an ink blending tool randomly over the embossed are…
