Today I have some Christmas cards to share, inspired by this months challenge over on the Facebook fan group page.
I love to use embossing on my Christmas cards as it always adds a touch of elegance and sparkle.
To begin, I used my favourite White Pearl embossing powder to add stencilled snowflakes to my backgrounds with a Pretty Pink Posh stencil. When used on white card, the pearl effect is subtle and pretty as it catches the light.
Next, I stamped the large sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh Joy stamp set with clear embossing ink. I embossed the patterned letters with Metallic Gold Rich super fine embossing powder on one card and Metallic Silver Super Fine for the other card. I die cut the letters using the coordinating dies, adding two more layers of the dies cut for dimension.
Instead of using the O from the word Joy, I decided to replace it with a die cut bauble. For each card, I die cut a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Ornament bauble three times. On the top layer, I covered with embossing ink and embossed with Ruby Romance and Midnight Dream embossing glitters.
For the top part of the baubles, I die cut them pearl gold and silver card and layered them on top.
I adhered the letters and baubles on to my cards. From each bauble, I added some thread, securing with a little liquid glue at the top of the cards.
To complete the sentiments, I embossed a greeting from the Pretty Pink Posh Joy stamp set on pearl card, to match the baubles and the embossing powders used on the J and Y letters. I trimmed them down and added to the cards with foam squares to finish.
Have a lovely day,
Gemma

I love the design of these pretty cards Gemma and both colours are beautiful for the glittery central baubles, and the gold and silver embossing on the letters and the white pearl on the backgrounds go perfectly. x
