Rainbows always make a fun birthday card. For my card today, I’ve used a rainbow of embossing powders with a stripes stencil to create my background.
I chose the following embossing powders, using a pink instead of a purple as I don’t have a purple embossing powder in my collection:
- Primary Apple Red
- Metalline Flame
- Opaque Pastel Yellow
- Metalline Kiwi Krush
- Angel Eyes
- Metalline Dark Blue
- Love is the Drug
I taped the Pretty Pink Posh Wide Stripes stencil over a piece of white card. As I wanted to emboss the lines in different colours, I temporary covered up all but the line I was working on so as not to add ink to more than one line at a time.
I added embossing ink to a line, removed the stencil, then embossed with one of the rainbow colours. I repeated this process until all lines were embossed. This does take a little time but I love the results.
I adhered the embossed panel to my card, then worked on the other elements for my card.
For my sentiment, I stamped a greeting from the Pretty Pink Posh Party Friends stamp set between the stripes. I then added a die cut greeting from the PPP Balloon Shaker die above.
I copic coloured a fun image from the PPP Party Friends stamp set, adding it to the card with foam tape to finish.
Have a lovely day,
Gemma

I love the six colours you chose for the stripes Gemma, a really pretty background look, and the sweet koala bear with the birthday cake looks great over the top. x
