A Little Bit of Vintage...

Good Morning!  It's Jamie back with you today sharing what has become one of my favorite cards.!  Now, before I begin I should tell you that I am not so great with vintage'y things.  I have tried and failed ...miserably...many, many times! :)

When I received the Vintage 1928 Stamp Set from WOW Embossing Powders, I just loved the images and knew I would have to try again!

Just have a look...aren't they amazing!?

I used the chair, the roses (the one on the top left with the box), and the key from the Vintage 1928 set and then the Thank You sentiment from the Gratitude set...and I kept it simple.

I started off by adding the sentiment to the front of the card in black ink

and then added the chair above it, centering.

I stamped the chair again on another piece of cardstock with Embossing Ink and then covered it with Angel Wings Embossing Glitter!

I removed the excess glitter onto a piece of scrap paper and poured it back into the original jar for storage.

Once you have the powder removed, heat set the glitter.

Then fussy cut the chair.

I used the Spun Sugar Distress Marker to add a bit of color to the chair pad and then used foam adhesive squares to adhere the chair over the stamped image on the front of the card.  This gives it a bit of a shadow effect.

Once I had my chair in place, I punched a decorative border in black cardstock and placed it behind the chair and then used the rose image around the edges of the card.

I stamped the key with embossing ink and covered it with the Metallic Platinum Sparkle and heat set it.  I fussy cut the key and added it to my bow with Blossom twine from The Twinery.

It isn't all that vintage'y...but I really like the way it turned out and it gives me hop to try it all again soon!
