Cardmakers Delight: Clear Powder magic!

Hello lovely crafty friends, it’s Sasha from Love Builds Up Crafts here with another Cardmakers Delight! Thank you so much for popping by.

So Halloween is around the corner and if you want to get a started on some Halloween projects, here’s a 2 for 1 mini slimline head start! There’s a Full Video Tutorial over on the WOW! Embossing YouTube Channel and if you prefer Shorter form content,  then look out for the reel over on the WOW!  Embossing Instagram Page.

The Newly Released Time Traveller Trio is so perfect for some Spooktastic crafts! This technique is quite fun and relatively quick depending on how quick your quick is.
Start by Inking up an A5 sheet of WOW! Embossing powder superior cards stock, with the sow drying embossing ink. Now adding the powder isn’t as simple as just pouring it all over the panel. You need to pour it in patches, starting with the Primary Royal Purple, then the opaque primary fossils. If you are not clear what I mean, then please watch the full tutorial, click here

Once you have heat embossed your panel with the purple and fossil powder, go ahead and ink it up your panel again with the embossing ink and add a layer of clear embossing powder. Heat emboss it as you normally would, then focus on a small area and add extra heat  heat to it. You will see the embossing powders start to flower (refer to pic below) and create something that looks like a moody, cloudy sky to me. You can add more colour if you feel that you need it.

I cut my panel into two 3.5 x 6ish inch panels so that I could make 2 slim line cards but its up to you.

I also used the picket fence studios ghost and word die to really bring this spooky pair to life. You can use whatever you have, the most important thing is to have a spooktastic time whilst doing this!
You can watch the full tutorial video to see how I turned the panels into cards.

I Hope this has encouraged you to experiment with your embossing powders ❤️
Crafty hugs,

Sasha x
