We are super excited to be opening up applications for our July - December 2023 Design Team Term.
We have several positions available across our team, so perhaps you will find something that suits your situation!
We are open to international applicants; WOW! Embossing Powder is a UK company but we do also have shipping facilities in USA too, plus we ship worldwide.
Our products are also available in craft stores large & small all over the world.
You don’t need to have any previous Design Team experience in order to apply, but please ensure you read through the requirements and ensure you can commit to them before applying.
We have 3 teams we are looking to fill spots on:
1. Video Team
2. Blog/Instagram Team
3. TikTok/Reels/YT Shorts Team
All positions share the following requirements across the board, so no matter which role(s) appeals to you the most, here are some things that you’ll need to be able to do:
• You'll need to have experience with working with embossing powders. Whilst we do offer a range of products, it is our embossing powders which truly set us apart, so it is really important that our DT are confident in working with them.
• Be able to take quality photographs of your projects with excellent lighting and creative staging.
• Have an active Instagram account. It’s also a bonus if you have an active blog.
• Use Facebook to interact with the team in a private Facebook group. Additionally, we would like our team to be active in the WOW Fans Facebook group.
• Be eager to help grow the WOW! Embossing Powder brand. We like our team to be encouraging to customers, present their ideas, share advice, give feedback and support each other.
• Create quality projects using our products. Whilst you are encouraged to mix and match products from different brands in your projects, it is absolutely mandatory that you only use WOW branded embossing powders & ink during your time with the team.
• Create two posts per month, with accompanying blog posts and share these across your own social media.
• Spread your love of WOW products by using them in your other creations, outside of your DT projects.
• Agree to create and mail physical samples to us for each new release. (One sample per product received.)

Please read the requirements for each team to ensure you are capable of fulfilling the role(s) you’re applying for:
Video Team Requirements:
2 x posts per month to be made up of the following:
• 1x 5-10minute video tutorial per month, delivered on assigned days (scheduled 1 week before the video/blog post is due to go live). Video to be shared on the WOW! Embossing YT channel & an accompanying blog post on the blog. (After 24 hours, feel free to post this video on your own YT channel too, but please ensure the start & finish are slightly different to avoid copyright violations.)
Videos should have an educational focus, with inspiration for using WOW products specifically. Good lighting & high quality resolution is essential. Either spoken as filmed, or a voiceover added after the fact. WOW intro & outro must be used on every video.
• 1x Reel/TikTok/YT Shorts quick video per month, delivered on assigned days with the Reel sent to Social Media manager and a post on the WOW blog (scheduled 1 week before the video/blog post is due to go live).
Short videos should be between 20-60 seconds long, be high quality with good lighting throughout. Video style & type is flexible. Feel free to add audio via a voiceover or a suggested music track.
Previous experience of creating these videos is essential.
• Share your project on your personal IG/social media platforms.
• Quick post on the WOW blog is also required, that includes several photos of your project; ie flat lay, close ups from different angles along with an embedded/linked video on whichever social platform is hosting your content (usually Youtube or Instagram.). Also the WOW sign off and visual supplies list with links to purchase must be included.
• For each new release, create video content to market the new products. In addition, share marketing materials (provided by WOW!) on personal social media platforms.
• Commitment to a 6-month term (with the possibility to remain on the DT beyond this term.)
• Ad hoc participation in collaborations/ hops with other papercrafting companies
Blog Team Requirements:
• 2 projects per month, including process photos delivered on assigned days. (Blog posts are to be written on the WOW Blog, and photos submitted to the Social Media Manager 1 week in advance of the post date.)
• Share your project on your personal IG/social media platforms.
• For each new release, create project samples to market the new products. In addition, share marketing materials (provided by WOW!) on personal social media platforms.
• Commitment to a 6-month term (with the possibility to remain on the DT beyond this term.)
• Ad hoc participation in collaborations/ hops with other paper crafting companies
Instagram Team Requirements:
• 2x short video projects per month, delivered on assigned days. (Completed Short video and vertical cover photo are to be sent 1 week in advance of the post date.)
• Videos should be between 20-60 seconds long, be high quality with good lighting throughout. Video style & type is flexible. Feel free to add audio via a voiceover or a suggested music track.
Previous experience of creating these videos is essential.

Design Team Compensation:
• Brand new DT members will receive a starter kit, including a heat tool, embossing ink, cardstock, and a generous selection of our other products.
• For each new release, DT members will receive the entire release but you will be expected to create at least 1 sample per product.* Photos need to be sent to the Social team and physical samples should be posted to either our UK or US base.
(*Our releases vary in size, but if it was a larger release we would discuss this with you in advance of sending. Also, for the purposes of samples, a Trio of powders would constitute one product.)
• Invitation to our exclusive Affiliate program, which offers 12% return on all affiliate sales.
• Option to participate in regular collaborations with other companies.
• Opportunity to receive crafty freebies from other companies as part of organised collaborations.
• Opportunity for your samples to be displayed by any of our worldwide stockists to promote our products.
• Exclusive sneak peeks of not-yet-released products and the potential opportunity to be involved in product designs
• Promotion on the WOW! blog, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other social media accounts, along with our regular email newsletters.
• Private FB group to use for collaboration, questions, and sneak peeks.
