Embossed Ornaments: Marble Jewels

Hello Friends, it’s Sasha here with another fun ornament decorating ideas. I’m sure by now your Christmas decorations are all done and dusted but you can always save these ideas for nthe next Christmas!

Ok, so as always there is a reel for those of us who like short form content, check it out on the WOW! Embossing Powder social media pages so that you can see the process in more detail. Also the pics don’t do it justice so please watch the reel.

I started with a wooden ornament which of course you can purchase from any craft store or Amazon. I then pressed the ornament onto the WOW! Embossing slow drying ink to ink it up. I started by adding some Tarnished Brass embossing powder then some Vintage Turquoise, both from the Ancient Orient trio I then heat embossed this using the highest setting on the WOW! Embossing dual setting heat tool. I repeated this step twice to get a double layer of embossing.

Once the embossing had cooled down, I took a deeper turquoise alcohol markers and added depth around the edges of the turquoise embossing (optional) before covering the ornament with more embossing ink and a layer of Ultra high clear gloss embossing powder. The trick here is to do 2 layers of the clear embossing powder so as to get that glassy jewel look. If you lose some of your tarnished brass metallic shimmer then add a layer of the tarnished brass, heat emboss it and then cover it with the clear embossing powder.

Feel free to add ribbon or maybe even some gold paint around the edges for a even more jewelled marble look. Thank you so much for popping over, I hope you are a WOW! And Merry Christmas

Sasha x
