Non-Traditional Christmas Card Colors

I hope you are having a great weekend! Ericka here and I can't believe December is almost here. Today I have a couple of Christmas cards I made using the non-traditional colors of navy and pink. I love the look of these colors together and the WOW! Midnight Dream and Razzelberry are a perfect match.

For my first card I used the Triangle Trees from Reverse Confetti.

I started by stamping the center tree and using the Razzelberry Embossing Powder (part of the Trio Summer Scoop). I then stamped the trees on the side and added the Midnight Dream Embossing Powder.

I finished my clean and simple card by heat embossing the sentiment in Metallic Platinum.

For my second card, I used the Hero Arts Merry Stamp and Cut.

I started out by randomly stamping the stars and alternating heat embossing them in Midnight Dream, Razzeberry, Gold Pearl. I love the coverage of these powders and how the small details still show on the stars. I then stamped the sentiment in Metallic Gold.

I took a separate piece of white cardstock and die cut the "Merry" sentiment three times and glued them together. Once it was dry, I used the WOW! Mixed Media Brush and applied a light layer of ink on the top portion of my die cut. I heat embossed the top portion in Razzelberry powder and repeated the step for the bottom portion in Midnight Dream.

I love the look of the two tone sentiment and the Mixed Media Brush is a great way to ensure full coverage for the embossing powder.

I glued the sentiment on the card base to finish my fun and cheerful Christmas card.
