Triple Embossing with Jenny

Hi Everyone!  It's Jenny here! You should see my craft room right now - it's a flurry of glitter and embossing powders - I even had glitter in my coffee the other day!  I've been busy swatching out my powders finally,  so I can see what I've got.

During all the swatching, I decided to break out some embossing glitters for my project today.  I'm using Sugar Plum embossing glitter, and Clear Matt Dull embossing powder for this project.

To create my card, I inked up an embossing folder with WOW! Embossing ink on the raised side of the folder.  I'm using a folder by Creative Expressions.   I then laid an A2 size black piece of cardstock into the folder (which I had treated with a powder too), being sure not to shift it as I ran it through my die-cutting machine.

When I removed the panel,  I sprinkled on the embossing glitter  and heat embossed it - I wasn't super worried if any of the glitter got into areas that were raised - you can see that they did, and I think it gives a really nice shabby chic look.

To avoid any stray embossing glitter, I pressed my ink pad over the entire front panel once the embossing glitter had cooled, and re-embossed with Clear Matt Dull embossing powder.  It added a nice seal to the embossing glitter without too much gloss.

To finish my card, I stamped a sentiment and some images from Altenew's Needlework Motifs stampset in black ink.  I colored in the florals with a couple of Violet (V) copics, die cut them, and adhered them  to the front of the card with foam tape.  I also scattered some brushed metal-look silver sequins.

**Note - Unfortunately Sugar Plum has been discontinued since, but there are a couple of other embossing glitters with that pinky coloring that would work just as well.   I've linked them below.**

I hope you like it - don't forget to play along with our June challenge over at the WOW! Embossing Fans - the theme is embossing glitter!
