Happy Saturday all of you crafty peeps!
It is that time of year again when our crafty goodness can be turned into gifts, and cards, so lets take a peek at what the gals from Team Glitter Girls are up to!
First up we have Jen Matott. She made a beautiful Altered Gift Tin and Necklace.
This is what Jen had to say about her project!
"In the spirit of Christmas, I wanted to create a gift for a girl friend of mine.
I used an empty cigar tin that I had found, and covered it with patterned papers.
I wanted to pretty up the edges so that the original paint did not show. I
dabbed on VersaMark with a dauber and added Regular Metallic Silver powders.
They melt so smooth an coat the metal perfectly!
To create the necklace, I used an Ideology Facet and cut out a piece of
patterned paper for the back. Once it was adhered, I used the dauber again and
coated the back and sides with VersaMark. The silver WOW powder created a metal
look and finished this piece! It's ready to give!"
Here is Jens supply list:
WOW Embossing power in Regular Metallic Silver
VersaMark
Patterned Papers, bling, and die cuts: Creative Imaginations
Tin
Velvet ribbon
Ideology Facet
Rub on: Basic Grey
Adhesive: Xyron
What a great idea, and so creative! It is so fun to have crafty friends!
Now, lets take a peek at some simple holiday cards that
Jenifer Cowles created using WOW embossing powders!
Jenifer made some Christmas cards in silver and gold tones. She used the Metallic Gold Rich Ultra High and the Metallic Silver regular embossing powder with the Brocade, Deck the Halls and the Merry and Bright Stamp Sets. She also used some vellum and May Arts ribbons, and even did a few stitches with her sewing machine as well. I think I also see some border punches too!
So cute, and simple to re create!
Now take a look at this cute Christmas card from Tanisha!
Tanisha shares her story about which stamp to use, and i love it!
They are all so cute, it is impossible to choose! ;)
Tanisha admits, "I couldn't decide which stamp in the Merry and Bright Christmas set to use, so I used all of them. I left the back of the stamps on the packaging material, inked, and then stamped onto cardstock. I used a brayer to help evenly distribute the image and then coated with different colors of WOW! Embossing Powder."
That, my friends is the way to get it done! I love it!!! Good idea Miss Tanisha!
