A touch of fab foil with Ashlee

Hey everyone...

Ashlee here today and I have a new card to share using a whole bunch of products along with WOW! embossing powder, WOW! stamp and Fab foil!!

To create this card I started by stamping the WOW! Scrunch background stamp on a piece of white cardstock using Twilight Catherine Pooler ink....

I then backed that with black cardstock!!

Using a die from Pinkfresh Studio called Fancy oval frame I die cut that from white cardstock. I left the outside frame of the die cut white but for the inside oval I embossed completely with WOW! Lemon sorbet!!

For this card I wanted to create a bunch of flowers in a fab foiled die cut basket...
(Market baskets and Forget me-not's flowers are dies from The Greetery)

I thought the basket would be perfect to add fab foil too!!

To do this I die cut the basket from a piece of cardstock that I covered in double sided tape. Once I had die cut the basket I removed the tape protective cover and placed a piece of Ice blue fab foil over the top. Using a bone folder I rubbed that over the whole area to make sure the foil adhered to it well. It was then time to remove the excess foil to reveal the awesome foiled basket!!

I filled the basket with a bunch of die cut flowers using The Greetery forget me-nots die from different colours of cardstock. All the layers were then glued together using Bearly arts liquid glue....

I added some hands to hold the basket using the Holding hands die also from The Greetery!!

The hands were die cut from a light coloured cardstock and I inked the edges slightly with some Catherine Pooler ink Sand castle...

I added on some fingernails in a blue to match the flowers and then some sleeves die cut from vellum with added WOW! opaque bright white embossed creases!!

Once all the pieces were together I adhered them onto the card base with different levels of foam tape to add extra dimension and of course finished it off with a touch of sequins...

I hope you enjoyed this card, you can find a reel on the WOW! instagram of my whole card process!! Happy embossing, Ashlee

  1. This is really pretty Ashlee and I love the effect of the stamped scrunch background and ornate mat with the foiled basket and also the pretty die cut flowers, and the hands placed over the front of the basket with the white embossed vellum sleeves are fantastic. x
