You Are Loved with Karen Reategui

Hi Friends! Today I’m over WOW! Embossing Powder Blog sharing those cards using Weathered Gold Embossing Powder from the WOW! Trio Metalz inspired by Seth Apter. Also, I’m using Fab! Foil Bright Gold and WOW! Girls Best Friend Sparkle Glitter to add some accents to my background.

Let’s shine! I started by creating an alcohol inked background using yellow, red and salmon shades of alcohol ink. You can use any color combination you want. Also, I added Piñata Rich Gold alcohol ink. Then, once my panel was dry I used a glue pen on my background and let it dry a bit then added WOW! Girl Best Friend Sparkle Glitter to get some shiny areas on my background.

I used the Altenew Doodled Dot Cover Die on top of my alcohol inked panel and run it through my Gemini Jr. I adhered a white panel and a black card base at the back.

Finally, I die cut the Altenew You Are Loved Die out of white and black cardstock. I used the white die cut to heat embossed it with Weathered Gold Embossing Powder from the WOW! Trio Metalz inspired by Seth Apter and the black die cut was adhered at the back as a shadow. I placed this big sentiment and my card was done.

For my second card, I used the WOW! Trio Gemstone inspired by Tracy Scott. To start off I the created a watercolor background using an stencil and I adhered a white card base at the back. I love the distressed look of this background.

Next, I die cut the Altenew You Are Loved Die out of white cardstock and applied WOW! Embossing Pad and then heat embossed this sentiment using Peridot Embossing Glitter from the WOW! Trio Gemstone. Additionally, I die cut two more sentiments from this You Are Loved Die, glued one on top of each other and then adhered this stacked at the back of the heat embossed sentiment.

I also die cut one frame and heat embossed it with the Aquamarine Embossing Glitter from the same trio, plus some hearts that I heat embossed with the Tanzenite Embossing Glitter. Finally, I placed all die cuts on top of my panel and my card was finished.

Thank you so much for stopping by and get some inspiration. Check out the store to find the new products available now. Have a bright and shiny day!

Handy Stamp Storage Idea

Hello everyone... Happy Tuesday! :D

It's Sarah here with today's blog post created for our Monochromatic theme.

I don't know about you, but I always find I need to use stamps from a mixture of stamp sets and I thought it would be easier if I didn't have to slide each stamp set in and out of the packets all of the time.

I have a bunch of empty CD cases that I had almost thrown out but thankfully I hadn't as they turned out to be the perfect solution! The part that holds the CD easily popped out so I could then position my different stamp sets within them.

I found an old wooden CD box but it had no lid and as all clear acrylic stamps are best stored out of the light, I decided I would make a box lid for it... not just a plain lid though... a Wow Embossed box lid!

Here are brief instructions on how to make it:

Using pearl silver card, I created a square to the size that I needed (145mm) and added 30mm wide rectangles around the square adding in some t…

Life's A Beach

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you're all well and getting very creative this month!
As this month's challenge is summer and I live on an island it seemed only natural that my inspiration card would feature sea and sand.
To create my beach scene I started off with a piece of pale blue card and a rubbed a Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad across the top several times. I then sprinkled WOW Peppermint Tea Powder and Under The Sea Glitter over the top, tapped off the excess and melted with a heat tool. I created the sand underneath using Gold Pearl Powder.

For the sea I ran a line of PVA glue in the middle of the sky and sand with my finger, sprinkled with Under The Sea Glitter and melted with a heat tool. For the waves I added small areas of PVA straight from the nib of the bottle when added Opaque White Powder.

The birds and sentiment I have used Opaque British Summer Powder which is one of my favourite new powders, great colour and great name!
Finally, I added beach in…

Happy memories - embossed background

I must admit I was having a bit of a problem coming up with a memory keeping project for this months post. I have been making almost only cards lately and had a bit of a problem filling a whole layout. I do make some layouts and lately I've been partial to letter sized layouts because the format remind me of cards and makes it easier for me to plan the page. This time I made a A4 sized layout because it's easier for me to find the page protectors in regular stores here. I used some good cardstock that doesn't warp much when you heat it or add water since i knew I would emboss it.
Here's what I did. I picked the pretty Chrysanthemum background stamp and embossed it in Silver Pearl embossing powder three times in a row across the background. I must admit I was more than a little inspired by Isha Guptas cards for her guest post earlier this week. I used distress inks in Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon and applied with an ink blending tool randomly over the embossed are…
