Embellishing Mandalas with Jenny

Hi Everyone, it's Jenny here, and today I'm joining you with a card that uses heat embossing on die cuts to create a gorgeous sparkly mandala.

I am using the beautiful Delicate Mandala by Altenew.  This die is SUPER intricate and perfect for this technique.

I used Stick-It Adhesive on the pack of a piece of 110lb cardstock - thicker more sturdy cardstock is best for this technique, or you could die cut it several times and adhere together (but I didn't do that here). I used a metal shim with my die cutting machine with this die as it is so intricate and ran it through several times.  I used my pokey tool to remove the pieces that were still sticking in.

I added WOW! Embossing Ink all over the die cut and sprinkled the gorgeous Genteel embossing powder onto it (from the WOW! Riviera Trio).  This powder has sparkly glitter in it as well as finer ground silver embossing powder, and larger chunks of black and white.  Super cool mix that creates fun interest on larger embellishments like this.  Here's a close up:

I added two further layers of the Genteel, and then when cooled, I peeled off the Stick-It on the back and adhered it to a white notecard, slightly hanging off the edge, and trimmed it down.

The sentiment is from the new WOW! stamp set Round & Round - I thought this worked well with the circular nature of mandalas!  I heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock in WOW! Bright White Opaque Superfine embossing powder.

I'm a huge fan of embellishing mandalas and using my gems or sequins to do just that.  Here I used Little Things from Lucy's Cards Tinkerbell Sparkly Shaker Mix to add even more sparkle! I simply follow the geometric pattern of the mandala adding a gem every so often!

Hope you like it!
