❄ ❅ ❆ November Winner and New December Challenge ❄ ❅ ❆

Hi Everyone!

Where did the month of November go? I can't believe that it is December already! For this month, we have challenged the team to create using the theme of "Winter" which is appropriate considering that temperatures have been dropping quite rapidly! We would love it if you play along with us! Apologies for no Mr Linky last month, I have posted it at the end of the blog post this time round. We had an amazing amount of entries last month, I will do a bit of hopping around and leave you all some comment love :)

This month's challenge winner is Urban Mermaid! You can check out her gorgeous winning entry here

Please email tania@wowembossingpowder.co.uk with your contact details and we will send out your goodies as soon as possible! Congrats :D

Thank you for stopping by and keep sharing your creations with us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Be sure to sure the hashtag #wowembossing or #wowembossingpowder or tag us (use @wowembossing )  in your photos to help us find you easily. Who knows, your project might even get shared on our Social Media Pages!

By entering the challenge each month, you'll get a chance to win a set of 6 embossing powders in a handy carry case. The winner will be randomly selected from eligible entries.

Remember, all projects must have either heat embossing or use our products to qualify!
You must also be a follower of our blog to enter.

Please be sure to link to the specific blog post and not just your blog homepage, otherwise we won't find your entry and you won't be entered into the challenge.

Happy Crafting!

Life's A Beach

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you're all well and getting very creative this month!
As this month's challenge is summer and I live on an island it seemed only natural that my inspiration card would feature sea and sand.
To create my beach scene I started off with a piece of pale blue card and a rubbed a Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad across the top several times. I then sprinkled WOW Peppermint Tea Powder and Under The Sea Glitter over the top, tapped off the excess and melted with a heat tool. I created the sand underneath using Gold Pearl Powder.

For the sea I ran a line of PVA glue in the middle of the sky and sand with my finger, sprinkled with Under The Sea Glitter and melted with a heat tool. For the waves I added small areas of PVA straight from the nib of the bottle when added Opaque White Powder.

The birds and sentiment I have used Opaque British Summer Powder which is one of my favourite new powders, great colour and great name!
Finally, I added beach in…

Handy Stamp Storage Idea

Hello everyone... Happy Tuesday! :D

It's Sarah here with today's blog post created for our Monochromatic theme.

I don't know about you, but I always find I need to use stamps from a mixture of stamp sets and I thought it would be easier if I didn't have to slide each stamp set in and out of the packets all of the time.

I have a bunch of empty CD cases that I had almost thrown out but thankfully I hadn't as they turned out to be the perfect solution! The part that holds the CD easily popped out so I could then position my different stamp sets within them.

I found an old wooden CD box but it had no lid and as all clear acrylic stamps are best stored out of the light, I decided I would make a box lid for it... not just a plain lid though... a Wow Embossed box lid!

Here are brief instructions on how to make it:

STEP ONE

Using pearl silver card, I created a square to the size that I needed (145mm) and added 30mm wide rectangles around the square adding in some t…

IT WASN'T EASY…...

But we did it…..

We managed to choose two fabulously talented ladies out of all the entries we received in our recent Design Team Call and oh boy did we get some entries…. THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!

It was so hard choosing, there's some seriously creative people out there !!!!

So… who are they ? I hear you ask !!

Drum Roll Please ………..

In no particular order, well, it's alphabetical really, that seemed the fairest way :) :)

We have the FABULOUS Jo Herbert, Jo is sharing her creativity all the way from Australia.

And the very CREATIVE Riikka Kovasin, Riikka is sharing her creativity from Finland.

They both have a fabulous style, we wouldn't have chosen them otherwise ;) ;) and we're sure you're going to be inspired by them as you are with our other fabulous DT Girlies… #wehavethebestdesignteam
You can check out a bit about them HERE along with our other fabulous DT members.
And their links are over on the Right, go give them a click and see what they're got to offe…
