WOW! Embossing Powder - Design Team Call 2016!



We are looking for:
Ø  Enthusiastic crafters who are passionate about everything embossing powder
Ø  Innovative and creative individuals who think out of the box
Ø  Professionalism and punctuality
Ø  Video/blogging skills, ability to write great tutorials!
Ø  Good photography skills
Ø  Be willing to commit to creating one project a month for a year starting from 1st February 2016
Ø  Promote our products on your own blog and social media channels.
Ø  You don’t need previous design team experience to apply!

Design Team members will receive:
Ø  Crafting goodies
Ø  Publication opportunities
Ø  Sneak peeks of new products before they are released
Ø  Name, bio and blog link on the WOW! Blog
Ø  And be a part of a private and supportive Facebook group to interact with fellow team members!
Ø  Your products displayed at top craft trade and retail show events all over the world!
Ø  A Design Team Blog Button for your blog!

How to apply:
Email your application with the subject DESIGN TEAM 2016 to tania@wowembossingpowder.co.uk :
Ø  A few words about yourself, your design strengths and areas of expertise (including Design Team experience and publications if applicable)
Ø  State your location
Ø  Links to your blog, online galleries and social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube, Instagram, etc. where applicable)
Ø  Why would you like to be a part of the WOW! Embossing Powder Team?
Ø  Four  projects featuring heat embossing with brief descriptions:  2 cards, a scrapbook layout and an altered or mixed media project! You don’t have to use our products and you can even send a link to a video tutorial for each entry.

Deadline: 1st December 2015 23.59 GMT
Due to the high volume of applications we will not be able to acknowledge emails.
Successful applicants will be notified by 15th of December 2015
International applicants are welcome!

Design Team addition obligations and requirements:

·         Post once a month on the blog
·         Comment on monthly challenge entries
·         Design Team members must let Design Team coordinator know in advance if they are not able to post on the blog.
·         All projects submitted for display at shows become WOW property unless agreed beforehand. Any postage cost reimbursements need to be agreed on beforehand.
·         Please note: Applicant must not be affiliated with any other embossing powder brand.

  2. The four projects that are needed for the application, do they have to be new/unpublished/made specifically for this call? Thank you for the opportunity, I'm definitely considering it!

Life's A Beach

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you're all well and getting very creative this month!
As this month's challenge is summer and I live on an island it seemed only natural that my inspiration card would feature sea and sand.
To create my beach scene I started off with a piece of pale blue card and a rubbed a Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad across the top several times. I then sprinkled WOW Peppermint Tea Powder and Under The Sea Glitter over the top, tapped off the excess and melted with a heat tool. I created the sand underneath using Gold Pearl Powder.


For the sea I ran a line of PVA glue in the middle of the sky and sand with my finger, sprinkled with Under The Sea Glitter and melted with a heat tool. For the waves I added small areas of PVA straight from the nib of the bottle when added Opaque White Powder.




The birds and sentiment I have used Opaque British Summer Powder which is one of my favourite new powders, great colour and great name!

Handy Stamp Storage Idea

Hello everyone... Happy Tuesday! :D

It's Sarah here with today's blog post created for our Monochromatic theme.




I don't know about you, but I always find I need to use stamps from a mixture of stamp sets and I thought it would be easier if I didn't have to slide each stamp set in and out of the packets all of the time.

I have a bunch of empty CD cases that I had almost thrown out but thankfully I hadn't as they turned out to be the perfect solution! The part that holds the CD easily popped out so I could then position my different stamp sets within them.

I found an old wooden CD box but it had no lid and as all clear acrylic stamps are best stored out of the light, I decided I would make a box lid for it... not just a plain lid though... a Wow Embossed box lid!

I got to play with two Altenew Stamps: Basic Borders and Thinking Of You. I loved them so much I made two projects with them! 

I created this very easy background using the entire stamp set as a background and inked it up with our WOW! Embossing Powder Inkpad (UK Shop, US Shop) and using a variety of our Primary Embossing Powders (UK Shop, US Shop) to create this rainbow effect! <3 The Primary Embossing Powders go really well with each other and I simplay love how glossy they are.
