WOW! Embossing Powder and Viva Las VegaStamps Blog Hop - DAY 1 COMMENTS CLOSED

Thank you to everyone who took part in our blog hop with UmWow Studios! Now here we are with Day 1 of a new Blog Hop with Viva Las VegaStamps! Today we have Irit and Christine on the blog sharing their grunge inspired projects on the blog using VLVStamp and WOW! Embossing Powder goodies. We also say goodbye to them with a very heavy heart and wish them the best of luck with future endeavours:

Irit:

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here and this is my last post for WOW! Embossing Powders. After 3 years on the team ( and one  year on USA WOW! team before) I just decided to move to another  crafty adventures.
Those were great 4 years with a lot of blog hops, new and  fantastic products and lovely team mates.
So here is my project made for VLVS blog hop, but not my last post for VLVS company.  It's like  MAGIC: the day I left WOW! team, I was invited to design for VLVS company and this is one of my new adventures.
So this tag I made is a kind of a closure and a kind of the new beginning.

For a long period I wanted to design for VLVS; I even guest designed there a year ago and I always believed that I am a good fit for this company. So the sentiment on my tag just says so : I believe ... Anything I can imagine I can do. And for the closure: there are two WOW! powders that I can't live without: Clear Gloss embossing powder and Opaque Bright White. Those are the powders that I used every single day on every single project as I just love to emboss all my stamped images. So the Banksy Rain under umberlla girl  together with this  Cracked background were made with resist emboss techniques and double embossing with clear powder over the whole piece.

I really hope that you liked my work and I am sure we will meet again here and there.
I wish the team all the best and I thank you all for a pleasure to be a part of such a great  company for a long time.

Christine

Hi all

For the bloghop I am in the Viva Las Vegas (VLV) team. I decided to make a card with the two lovely stamps I received from VLV.  The VLV website has some fabulous stamps of all kinds so no matter what your tastes you can find something to suit your style and themes.

The "Fairy on Moon" stamp was lovely and I decided to keep the "moonlight" theme by using inks on the background of my card to make it look more atmospheric.

Firstly I inked up the background with green and brown inks, leaving a white, off- centre section in the middle where I stamped my fairy with black embossing powders. I then added the trees in black and copper around the bottom, sides and the top.
To finish I added a line of chain to hold up the fairy swing with a black pen.

As this is my last project on the WoW Team I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all at WoW for such great time on their Design Team and all the bloggers out there who have taken the time to comment on my work etc. I look forward to seeing all the new and exciting WoW projects made by you all in future.
Chris x

  7. Sorry to see you ladies leaving. I have gotten so much inspiration from you over the time you have been with WOW. Heat embossing is my favorite technique....and I love seeing what you have done with the fabulous WOW products!! I totally agree with Irit abt the Opaque Bright White....it is an absolute staple.

Such lovely work from each of you today. I love the bright colors on Irit's tag with that VLVS image. Also, I adore that dreamy moonlit look on Chris' tag. Just gorgeous!!

  13. Best of luck to both of you I shall miss your projects that come to me as a blog subscriber but I know where to find you when I need that shot of inspiration.
Both projects are wonderful and both appeal to the two different sides of my crafty personality! I love that Banksy stamp and those beautiful shades of turquoise with brown - that is the only time I like anything created with brown!
And then that gorgeous and whimsical scene - love everything about that! A beautiful stamp which is stamped gorgeously and I can just imagine the sun coming up or going down on the faerie. Add to that my love of scene stamping and I'm in heaven.
Way to go out ladies - one heck of a bang! I do love my WOW EPs and am looking forward to the challenges re-starting soon Karen x
