WOW - Spring Has Sprung

The Title gives a clue, that it is my turn to host again for WOW!!
This month as previously mentioned by the DT team we are showcasing the flourescent embossing powders.
Along with Spring/ Easter projects.
Well I love the excuse to do a little bit of home decor at holiday times.
So I have opted to make this cute little wall Hanging.

So what did I use!
Well a small polystyrene ring.
3.5mtrs green ribbon 15mm wide
0.5 mtrs pink organza ribbon
some small pins (you may prefer to use glue if children are around)
Versamark ink pad
Heat gun
WOW! Stamp sets: Fauna & How Does Your Garden Grow.
Stick on gems.
White Cardstock
Start with polystyrene ring and green satin ribbon, pin in the end of the ribbon as shown.
Continue to wrap the ribbon around the ring, overlapping slightly on each turn, to ensure even coverage.
Making sure to leave enough ribbon to make a handle. Pin in ends again.
Stamp and emboss 9 leaves from the fauna stamp, using the green embossing powder.
Cut them out and place to one side,
Take the floral Stamps of your choice and place them on a large acylic block , stamp and emboss in the other three colours of embossing powder.
Cut them out and start assembling all these pieces onto your wreath,
leaves first.
Carry on till you are happy.
Finally, tie a bow with the organza ribbon and place to hide the ends of the green ribbon.
I hope you have enjoyed todays project.
Hugs

  1. Great minds and all that - I love your take on the spring bouquet and layering the outlines and shaded flowers is inspired :)

  3. This is great Tracy - I love styrofoam wreaths, they always look classy when decorated. Those colours shout out flowers and I've also done something similar. By the time my post goes on it'll look like I've copied everyone else:( Oh, well we're all obviously on the same wavelength x
