Hey everyone, it's Jayne here, back with another instalment in my Exploring Embossing series! Today, I'm using embossing glitters with layering stencils, to give an extra shimmer to my background scene.

I used Trinity Stamps' Slimline Forest layering stencils, and added Concord and 9th inks in Aqua Sky and Dove for the first two layers. For the third layer, I applied Wow embossing ink through the stencil using a mini sponge dauber. After removing the stencil, I applied Antique Silver embossing glitter and set with my Wow heat tool.
I love the sparkling, ethereal look this created! At this point, I wanted the background to be the focus of the card, so I decided to turn it into a simple shaker. I folded a piece of vellum around three of the sides and stuck it down with double sided tape to create a shaker pocket. I added some Lucy's Cards shaker mix to the open side, then sealed it up.
To finish, I die cut the warm wishes sentiment from Hello Bluebird, stuck it to some soft grey card to complement the trees, then fussy cut around it, before adhering to the card front. I added the finished shaker panel to a slimline base made from the same grey card, and that finished up the card!
I hope this inspired you to try embossing with some of your own layering stencils!
