WOW! Embossing | It's Time To Get Spooky!

Happy Thursday Darlings!

I hope you have all been keeping well. Today I am here with two spooktacular cards created as part of the Heffy Doodle and WOW! Embossing collab - have you checked it out yet? If not, you have until 25th October to enter the blog hop giveaway: Blog Hop
Once you've entered, come back here to find out how I made these Ghoulish cards!

1. Base layer - using a paper trimmer, I cut both a Black and Lime Green base from cardstock so that the base is slightly larger than the background die.

2. Background die layer - on two white pieces of cardstock, I ink blended Distress Oxides 'Carved Pumpkin' on one and 'Villainous Poison' (how Halloween appropriate are these colours?!) on the other and spritzed water over both for some added detail. On two black pieces of cardstock, I applied embossing ink over both and sprinkled WOW! Embossing's 'Cosmic Shimmer' over one and 'Nebula Stardust' over the other. I heat embossed both and then ran all 4 pieces of cardstock through the die cut Machine with Alex Syberia's 'Modern Strips' background die. Isn't this background die just the best?!

3. Background Die Pattern - I mixed and matched different colours to create two very different backgrounds :)

3. Images - Using Heffy Doodle's 'Ghoulfriends' stamp and die set, I stamped some adorable Ghosts onto white cardstock, and heat embossed them with WOW!'s 'Glow-In-The-Dark' embossing powder. This is such a quick and easy way to add some Halloween Magic to any design and will certainly impress any recipient!

4. Sentiments - On both black and lime green cardstock (the same used for the base layer), I stamped some fun sentiments from the 'Ghoulfriends' stamp set and either heat embossed with 'Bright White' or 'Glow-In-The-Dark' embossing powder. I love how fun all the sentiments in the stamp set are, especially the one that says 'Boooze' ;)

5. To Finish - I glued the background die and strips to each base layer and added the sentiments and images with a variety of double sided tape and foam tape to add layers. I also popped on a few embellishments to complete both designs :)

I hope you like these cards and make sure you enter yourself into the Heffy Doodle and WOW! Embossing Collab Blog Hop while you still have time.

Love, Jo
