Hello hello everyone,
Next to mimic the polka dot pattern running in the background, I have used the lotsadots stencil from WOW Embossing and with a texture paste have applied on top of the teapots.
Apart from the foliage die-cuts I had decided to keep a few of the other diecuts in white so have embossed them with the Opaque white embossing powder followed by the Halo embossing powder to add that beautiful shimmery effect.

This is Madhurima here and I am super excited to be a part of the WOW embossing team as a guest designer for the months of September and October. As I am an avid tea lover so I thought of celebrating my joy with you all by making cute little mdf teapots in mixed media style. Here is the picture of the project that I will be showing you step by step.
Now lets dive into the procedure. I am afraid its going to be a tad bit long but I promise you that its gonna be fun. So, grab your tea or coffee ( whichever you prefer) and lets begin.
Step 1: Prepping the base
First and foremost, I will be prepping two mdf teapot shaped panel with a couple of coated of which gesso followed by a very loose coat of the dusty pink impasto paint.
Next up I will be adhering two pattern paper from the Mintay "Graceful" collection over the mdf cutouts.
Step 2: Adding interest to the background
After that, to add interest to the background firstly I have added a bit of stamping with a text stamp from Entomology stamp set from Tim holtz and shadow grey archival ink.
While the texture paste was still wet I had sprinkled the Halo WOW embossing powder and have heat set it.
Next I have used my Lindys starburst sprays to add some amount of color to the background.
Step 3: Prepping the die-cuts
To build the main composition I have used quite a few die-cut elements all of which are from Fantasy dies and have used distress oxide inks to color them.
To add more bling to the die-cuts I have used a few of the WOW embossing powders in the variant blushed and lime crush
Apart from the foliage die-cuts I had decided to keep a few of the other diecuts in white so have embossed them with the Opaque white embossing powder followed by the Halo embossing powder to add that beautiful shimmery effect.
Step 4: Building the composition
Once all the embellishments were ready I have arranged them in layers by adding pieces of cheesecloth, flowers, fussing cut elements and the ofcourse the die-cut elements to make a cute composition each on both the teapots.
As I have made the two teapots in different colors i.e., one pink and the other one purple so accordingly, I have used darker shades of pink and purple to add shadows to the composition.
And in the end I have used a few mini art stones and glitters to finish off the project. Here are the close ups of the teapots.
I do hope that you all enjoyed my project today. See you all soon with yet another fun mixed media project. Till then bye bye and take care.
