Diva Photo-frame I Mixed Media I Guest Artist I Aditi

Hello everyone,

Aditi here, and today I'm sharing a pictorial with you'll. There are many people, who love reading through blogs, looking at step by step photos and then creating. So I decided I'd create an easy mixed media project for my readers. 

Today I'm altering a photo-frame, adding bling and customising it. Such ideas are always great for gifting as well as for framing that one special photo with touches of art. 

Here's a look at the frame:

Now let's dive in, into the process of creating this.

Step 1: 

It's important to prime our surface when working with various mediums. I'm using Clear Gesso on my white frame. 

Step 2:

Let's begin with some stamping, and heat embossing. I used the Abstract Triangles stamp and stamped it onto the borders of the frame with the clear embossing ink. I then added the Niagra embossing powder and heat set it. 

 

Step 3:

Time to add a pop of colour. I used pigment powders in the shades of pink, and added random touches to the frame. This made my embosses texture pop even more.

Step 4:

To create depth, I used a bright purple ink and distressed the edges of my frame outside and inside.

Step 5:

Apart from some fussy cut elements, I decided to die cut a few elements. I heat embossed the die cuts with Fiery Fun and Kiwi crush to add colour.

Step 6: 

Assemble everything, glue the elements and create a composition. I also added a few pearls and WOW Glitter for some extra bling.
