Cardmaker’s Delight | ALCOHOL INK LOOK CARD BACKGROUNDS USING EMBOSSING POWDERS!

Hello Lovely Friends, it’s Sasha here with Cardmaker’s Delight. I hope you are having the loveliest of weeks. So today I’m over on the WOW! Embossing YouTube, Instagram and the blog here, sharing how to make alcohol ink looking cards using our WOW! Embossing powder.

So like I mentioned in the tutorial, you can actually stencil over your layered embossing powdered backgrounds with even MORE embossing powder!

To do this you need to make your background first, using any technique from the vid.

After that, take your diamonds stencil and add some embossing powder the normal way you would through a stencil. Cover the panel in honey bee, bee true embossing powder. Once you have your powder sticking to your page, go ahead and heat emboss. So you need to do 3 short second bursts to emboss as if you were embossing vellum. It’s as easy as that!!

Die cut an arch in the middle of a 4’ x 6’ panel of white cardstock using an arch die. Prop this panel on some up on foam tape before being sticking it on top of the diamonds panel.

So, I foiled some pinkFresh Studios blooms with gold foil on white card and a “Hello” sentiment with gold foil on black card. If you don’t have a foiling machine, you can use the metallic gold embossing powder to stamp and heat emboss a sentiment on some black card and flowers on some white card.

Prop the sentiment on some foam tape and stick it somewhere in the middle of your arch. Then stick the flowers to the right hand curve of the arch and the left hand corner. Finish off with some gold pearls!

Once the backgrounds are made, putting the cards together is as easy as 123! Photographing them on the other hand!
