Hello, it's Verity with another video and blog post as a Creative team member for WOW! In today's post, I'm going to show you how to layer embossing powder and create these two fun Christmas cards with a whole host of WOW! Embossing powder. Layering embossing powder is such a fun technique that can look stunning when you mix different powders. For these cards, we need to first create a full card panel covered in embossing powder. With a brayer, apply a layer of WOW! Embossing ink over the card panel and then cover with Black Twinkle embossing glitter. This will contrast beautifully with the Hope & Positivity powder.
After heat setting the panel, place the Snowflake stencil over the top using the Make Art-staytion to keep it in place. WIth a blending sponge tool, apply ink through the stencil. Remove the stencil and cover with Hope & Positivity embossing powder.
Trim the panel down and add this to a white card base. Next, stamp a sentiment using the Merry Sentiments stamp set. For this card, I heat embossed the Merry in Hope & Positivity Powder and the remaining sentiments in Metallic Silver embossing powder.
The sentiments were trimmed down and foam mounted onto the card. There is no need to embellish the card with all the sparkle and shine from the embossing glitter.
For this card, brayer up a card panel again with embossing ink and then this time cover with Powdered Snow embossing glitter from the Winter Dreams Trio. Once heat-set, position this panel inside a stamping platform such as a MISTI.
Place the Folkart Snowflake stamp over the panel and stamp this in embossing ink. Next, cover with Hope & positivity embossing powder and heat set.
After heat setting, trim this panel down and add it to a card base. Next, stamp and heat emboss a sentiment from the 'It's the Season' sentiment stamp set in metallic silver.
Trim the sentiments down and then foam mount onto the front of the card. Again, no need to embellish as the embossing glitter does all the shinning!

Two stunning cards Verity and I love the snowflakes in silver and with the added more holographic powder on the first and then the really sparkly look of the black and the same added powder to give a wonderful overall embossed look, and so lovely large sentiments to finish. x
