VIDEO - MERRY CHRISTMAS with October Guest Designer Anke Kramer

Hi all, we have a very special guest today Anke Kramer. Anke is bringing to you fresh and stunning projects both on our blog and youtube channel. Please make her feel welcome. We are so looking forward to her creations this month.

Introduction

I live in Goslar, a small town in Northern Germany together with my husband and our two dogs Louis and Alfred. Being creative has always been an important part of my life. I’ve always loved painting, decorating, and all sorts of papercrafts. In 2011 I got in touch with scrapbooking, card making and stamping. Mostly I make layouts and cards but also mini albums, mixed media projects or art journaling.
I share my projects on my Instagram account, my blog and my Facebook page and I also have a YouTube channel, where I share process videos.
I have been on the design teams of several scrapbook shops and kit clubs and I’m currently designing for Alexandra Renke and Hip Kit Club.
I love to work with the WOW! Embossing powders and glitters because they add a special touch to every project and can be used in many ways. They are great for creating layout and card backgrounds and I also love to use them for die cuts or with stencils.
So I’m really excited to be Guest Designer here on WOW! Embossing Powder.
Happy Papercrafting

_------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone and welcome! It's Anke here with you today and this is my first blog post as the October 2021 guest designer for WOW! Embossing Powder. Today, I'm sharing a Christmas card and there's also a process video on the WOW YouTube channel.

I started by creating the background of my card. Therefore I used Distress Ink pads and a blending brush.

To get this splatter effect that you can see I sprayed water over the ink and took it off with a paper towel. I let the background paper dry and went on with cutting a snow globe, trees, fir branches, pine cones and a cute snowman from white cardstock using dies designed by Alexandra Renke. I cut the inner part of the snow globe from adhesive tape and applied Brilliant Silver Essential Sparkles.

Then I embossed the trees, the branches and the pine cones. For the pine cones I used Ulla's Cognac embossing powder and for the branches and trees I used Bella's Forest. Both powders are from the Alexandra Renke collection. For embossing the snowman I used  the WOW! Embossing Pen which is perfect for detailed images. I started with Primary Ebony Regular for the hat, then Twiggy for the arms and Orangeade for the nose. Finally I embossed the body with Powdered Snow. Then I glued all these little die cuts on the snow globe.
When my background was dry I added some snowflakes using the beautiful Snowy Christmas Stamp Set and Opaque Bright White Super Fine  embossing powder.
I glued the background paper on a card base and added a sentiment using stamps from the Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set.  Finally I added the snow globe which I adhered with foam pads to add dimension to my card.
I had so much fun creating this card and I hope you like it too. Thanks so much for stopping by today.
