Hi guys,
UK https://www.wowembossingpowder.co.uk/
It's Erica back on the blog and YouTube channel today!
I had a plan for two cards, and then that plan escalated VERY quickly and I ended up with SIX cards, and bits for a seventh to finish off...! Ayayay, I don't know how, why or what is happening at times in my craft room. It's just bananas!
The original plan for the two cards was to heat emboss two panels with embossing powder, use the Plaid Card Front Thick Die and Plaid Card Front Thin Die from Concord &9th on them, layer them up and add a sentiment. Easy peasy, right? Well, on paper maybe (ahhh, a good paper pun there!) but once I got heat embossing and die cutting, it just took on a life on its own.
I started out by dabbing my Embossing Ink pad on four panels of card stock, one by one, and I used Midnight from the Moonlight Trio on two, Rich Gold on one and Egyptian Turquoise on the last one. These were all set with the heat tool and then I used the Plaid diecuts on them. I also cut out some more pieces from solid card stock and puzzled these pieces together, mixing and matching.
The panels with Midnight looked so fantastic I had to make another one, I had to. From this panel I used the mega Hello word die from Altenew, and the leftover piece was adhered to a white card base. The actual word diecut was layered up with a white one and adhered to one of the cards.
The others made with Midnight were finished off with various word dies and sentiments strips.
For the card made with the Egyptian Turquoise piece, I layered it up with some Jade cardstock from The Stamp Market and added that to a card base of Sea Glass from Concord & 9th. This was finished off with a Happy Birthday heat embossed with Rich Gold .
There is a video for these cards too, over on the WOW! Embossing YouTube channel. I hope you get a chance to check it out!
That's it from me for today, thanks for stopping by!
Happy crafting from Erica
