Hello, it's Verity with another video and blog post as a Creative team member for WOW! I've been wanting to try this Plaid Slimline die from Crafty Meraki for quite a while, but as always life gets busy and the next thing you know it's august! Well, today I got creative with it along with some fabulous WOW! Embossing powders to create soft and delicate florals with heat embossing.
Soft and delicate floral written Tutorial:
Start off by die-cutting the Plaid Slimline die from Crafty Merkai out of white cardstock. Next, apply WOW! Clear ultra slow drying embossing ink to the one end of the die-cut using the direct to paper method and drag up the die-cut.
Cover two-thirds of the die-cut with You Make Me Blush from the Pink-a-licious trio and heat set. Once more apply more ink to the lower third and cover with Firey Fun from the same trio before heat setting.
After the heat embossing is complete, adhere to a white slimline card base with liquid adhesive.
To create soft and delicate florals with heat embossing, we are going to use Copper embossing powder. This complements the two embossing colours on the die-cut beautifully. Stamp the florals from the You Inspire Me stamp set in embossing ink and cover with copper embossing powder.
Once heat-set, use the coordinating dies to die-cut these images out. Foam mount the flowers onto the front with varying depths in dimension for added interest. In addition, add a heat embossed sentiment from the You Inspire Me stamp set to the front.
Lastly, embellish with a few clear sequins to finish the card off.

I love the pretty slimline plaid cover die Verity and it looks great using the shades of pink embossing powder over the top, and the lovely copper embossed flowers pop dotted over the top at various heights add lots of dimension and the clear sequins are a great finishing touch. A beautiful card. x
