WOW Snowflake Stencils and Embossing Powders

Hi Crafty friends!  It is Natasha here and I am super excited to be back with you today sharing a slimline holiday card!  For today's card I am using 2 new stencils from WOW (Snowflake and Snowflake Dance), as well as a new trio of embossing powders (Winter Dreams).  I had so much fun creating this slimline card, so let's get started!

I started with a piece of Neenah 80 lb. card stock.  I started by placing the Snowflake stencil onto my piece of card stock.  I taped the stencil down in a few sections to help keep it in place.  I chose 2 colors of ink from the Stamp Market and lightly blended the snowflake onto the card stock.  I allowed the ink to dry, then it was time to prepare for embossing!  I then repeated the same process using my WOW embossing ink.  I directly applied the embossing ink to the snowflake over the colored ink.  I use a blending brush to apply the embossing ink through the stencil.  I was now ready to emboss, I love this part!  I chose a new trio of powders inspired by Martina Manger - Winter Dreams!  I love the soft colors in this collection and thought they would be beautiful for these snowflakes!  I used a combination of 2 colors on each snowflake!

Once my embossing was complete I wanted to add a bit more shine and sparkle to my card.  For the next step I used the new stencil Snowflake Dance.  I started by taping this down onto my card panel, then I applied embossing ink directly through the stencil, I then applied the bonding powder from WOW over the embossing ink and heat set this using my WOW heat tool.  I then placed the Silver foil directly on top of the bonding powder and gently rubbed the foil with my bone folder.  I left the foil for about 30 seconds and then removed the foil.  I did have some over foiling, so I removed the extra with my sand eraser.  Super easy to do!

Then I added some metallic splatters using watercolors to the card panel to create a little more shine and interest to my card.  To complete the card I chose a sentiment from the Peace, Love, and Joy stamp set.  I heat embossed these using Metallic Platinum embossing powder. Then I adhered these to my card panel.  Next I adhered the card panel to a slimline, pink card panel and adhered this to my card base.  I added a few sequins for added shine and interest to my card!  I had so much fun creating this sparkly card and adding foil to my card!  I loved using the WOW foil, it is super easy to use and the shine is gorgeous!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  You can visit me on Instagram too and see my latest Reel I created with this card today!  My instagram is here!

I will be back soon!
