Hello, it's Verity with another video and blog post as a Creative team member for WOW! If you caught WOW! on the Craft Store shopping channel yesterday, you'll have caught the jam-packed release featuring so many fabulous powders, stamps & stencils. Many perfect for Christmas! Well, today I'm showing you a trio of cards featuring a whole host of the new products. For this first card, temporarily adhere to the new Snowflake Stencil over some navy cardstock. The Wendy Vechicc Make Art station is great to use with stencils as the magnets keep the stamp in place.
Next, on a non-porous surface mix, some Brilliant Silvers Essential Sparkles with some Texture Paste Transparent glossy medium and spread this through the stencil. Afterwards, peel the stencil away and leave it to dry. After it has dried, add this panel to a white cardbase.
The card was finished by heat embossing a sentiment from the It's the season' sentiment stamp set onto vellum and black card. These were heat embossed in Metallic Gold Rich pale and trimmed down adding these to the front of the card. Lastly, a few silver pearls were added to embellish the card.
This second card altough uses Christmas items, it uses a very non-traditional Christmas colour scheme - almost more American colour scheme! For the background, apply Altenew Embossing Paste through the Snowflake Dance stencil onto navy card.
Once you remove the stencil, cover the embossing paste with WOW! Powdered Snow from the Winter Dreams trio. Leave this to dry, and heat emboss the powdered once dry. This stopped the embossing paste from bubbling.
The card panel was added to a white card base. For the sentiment, heat emboss the new Winter Wishes & Snowflake kisses sentiment in Red Glitz embossing powder (Putting on the Glitz Trio). This was fussy cut-out and added to the front.
This card was very easy to make and comes together very quickly. Add WOW! Clear ultra slow drying embossing ink through the new Confetti Star Stencil onto navy cardstock three times over the panel.
Next, cover this with Metallic Gold Rich pale embossing powder and heat set. To finish this card off, add a stamped sentiment from the Happy Birthday sentiment stamp set.
