VIDEO | Clean and Simple Ombré Slimline Card

Hej Everyone! It's Martina here today with a really easy, versatile idea for an ombré effect on your cards.

When tinking of (slimline) cards with an ombré effect, I usually get ideas of backgrounds. But why not creating a clean and simple card with embellishments in the ombré style? WOW has so many gorgeous powders that give so many beautiful options for this technique..

I have been working on a piece of cardstock that has been cut slightly smaller than my card base and will be glued onto the base as soon as I can start glueing my die cuts on.

To create something different in the background, I have been applying a Clear Matte Texture Paste through the WOW "Lots a Bubbles" Stencil. This gives a beautiful effect that reminds me of dry embossing.

For the butterflies I have heat embossed three pieces of white cardstock with Pink Tutu, Periwinkle and Sugared Almond before I die cut them.

Glueing the heat embossed butterflies to the solid bases and then adhering them to the card base are already the last finishing steps since I decides that this card doesn't need any additions.
