Creating a sunset with the Confetti Circle Stencil

Hello, it's Verity with another video and blog post as a Creative team member for WOW! Today I wanted to show you a completely different way to use the new Confetti Circle stencil and create a beautiful sunset inspired card. This uses all three aspects of the stencil and is very simple to create, though it doesn't look like it. Check out the video tutorial on how to create it and follow along with the written tutorial.

Start off by adding the Confetti Circle stencil over a white card panel with the open circle where you want the sun. Mask off a horizon line over the top and ink blend yellows/orange colours through the opening. Here I used Tiara and Coral Cabana inks. 

Now place the circle mask over the sun and ink blend a sky, making sure you have continued to mask the horizon. The colours I used were: It's A Boy, Suede Shoes and Drive-in. 

Next, repeat the process above but for the 'Sea' so below the horizon. For the sun reflection, I used an Orange twist but ink blended blue over the top when creating the sea so it is not quite as vibrant. The colours for the sea were: Fiesta Blue, All That Jazz and Something Borrowed. 

To create the sparkling sun make sure your ink panel is completely dry first. Position the confetti part of the stencil over the sun, lining the circle up with the sun. Now apply WOW! Clear Ultra Slow drying embossing ink through the Confetti openings with a sponge. 

Remove the stencil and cover the confetti above the horizon with A Touch of Lemon Embossing glitter. For the Confetti over the sea, cover this with Icecream embossing glitter from the Fairground Trio. 

Finish the card off with a small sentiment from the Thank You Sentiments A7 stamp set and an additional sentiment from the Altenew Coral Sunset stamp set.
