Hi guys!
UK https://www.wowembossingpowder.co.uk/
It’s Erica back on the blog today, no actual YouTube video for this post. This is a re-cap of what my glittery partner in crime Daniel and I were up to on the last Time To Be WOW’ed live YouTube. If you missed the actual show, or miss any of the upcoming ones, you can catch them on replay on the WOW! Embossing YouTube channel.
Last Saturday we decided to focus on making our own glitter and metallic card stock. It’s such a fun and versatile technique! We had both ink blended some panels before the show, and then we heat embossed them with various colours for gorgeous results. I did some Rose Gold card stock, Daniel made some Rich Gold, we both heat embossed Clear Gloss on ink blended panels for shiny coloured card stock, and of course we both used Halo. We LOVE Halo, both of us and it’s so awesome.
One of the panels I had already ink blended in preparation was done with Kitch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry and Black Soot. You might think that’s never going to work but holy, cannoli, does it work!
The colour gradient is so dramatic, and with that Halo on top it just goes off the charts amazing.
On this panel I used a big HI diecut, which I layered up several times to create dimension. All that sparkly texture just wasn’t enough!
This die is from The Stamp Market, and I used another die, Friend, which I layered up as well. On this I heat embossed two layers of Bright White Opaque embossing powder to make it nice and shiny, like puffy stickers.
This whole shebang was then adhered to a card base, this is a massive card, by the way! It’s 4.25”x8.5”!! It’s going to need a specially made envelope before I send this off to the recipient, which just so happens to be one of the viewers of the YouTube live! Daniel and I have decided that we will send off one of the cards we make from the show to one of the people tuning in to the live show, so if you want to be in with a chance to get a card, make sure you subscribe to the WOW! Embossing YouTube channel and turn on the notifications so you never miss a show!
With that, I’m all done for today, but hopefully we will see you at the next live!
Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

This is a wonderful blended background Erica, and the sparkly embossing over the top looks great. The white embossed sentiment stands out beautifully over the top too. x
