Hello friends! Today I’m sharing my last project as a Guest Designer over WOW! Embossing Powder blog. This project is extra cute and I made two coffee pillow boxes that you can give to your friends or your loved ones. You can add candies or chocolates inside, as well as cash.
The embossing powders that I used are the following:
- Minty Embossing Glitter from WOW! Trio Pick Me Up
- Strawberry Daiquiri from WOW! Trio Fiesta "Tracy Scott"
- WOW! Primary Judith's Blush by Alexandra Renke
- WOW! Primary Manuela's Honey by Alexandra Renke
I made these boxes using Simon Says Stamp Pillow Box Die. The Coffee Word Die is from Picket Fence studios as well as the stamp used on the pillow boxes.
Let's shine! I started by stamping with WOW! Embossing Pad three small images from Coffee Understand Stamp Set from Picket Fence Studios on an A5 panel. Then, I heat embossed the panel using WOW! Primary Judith's Blush by Alexandra Renke. I repeated this process but this time I heat embossed the panel using WOW! Primary Manuela's Honey by Alexandra Renke. After this, I proceeded to die cut both panels using the Simon Says Stamp Pillow Box Die.
In the picture above you can see how the panel looks, just have in mind that this is before heat embossing.
The pillow box was super easy to assemble and the colors from the embossing were simply fabulous!
Once my pillow box was ready, I die cut two hearts, you can use any die hearth you have on hand. I also heat embossed both hearts with WOW! Minty Embossing Glitter. Additionally, using the Coffee Word Die from picket Fence Studios I die cut two pieces from white cardstock. One of them was heat embossed with WOW! Strawberry Daiquiri Embossing Glitter and the other using WOW! Primary Manuela's Honey by Alexandra Renke.
For this pillow box that you see above in the picture, I used a piece of minty and white twine and wrapped it around the box. Next, I added one of the hearts using glue and the coffee die cut that was heat embossed with WOW! Strawberry Daiquiri Embossing Glitter was placed on top. In addition, I put this cute kettle, which is a wood veneer from one of my my scrapbook collections with the a "joy" sticker sentiment on top. By the way, this sticker is from Tim Holtz idea-ology Big Chat Stickers and I chose this one because to me coffee brings me so much joy.
I love so much all the contrast that I was able to get using this color combo of embossing powders.
This next pillow box has a fuchsia and white twine wrapped around and this color matches very well the WOW! Primary Judith's Blush by Alexandra Renke on the pillow box. As well as the first box, this one also has the minty heart and the coffee die cut heat embossed using WOW! Primary Manuela's Honey by Alexandra Renke.
The wood veneer shape this time is a cup and it is simply darling. I chose another sticker from Tim Holtz idea-ology Big Chat Stickers that says "inspire" and that is also true because coffee does inspire!
I really hope you like this project that is part of the WOW! Monthly Challenge at the Facebook fan page and the theme as you know this month is coffee/tea so I hope I can inspire you a little bit and thank you so much for stopping by.
Stay well, stay safe. Your friend,
