Today I have a bright and bold celebration card to share. The colour scheme is inspired by the football team the recipient supports.
I began by die cutting the Mama Elephant Grid Window cover die from white card. I masked the die cut, leaving the very edge showing. I inked the edge with WOW clear embossing ink, then embossed the edge with Colour Blend Verdigris embossing powder. This green edge represents the football pitch.
On each of the grid squares, I inked with the clear embossing ink, then embossed with Primary Apple Red embossing ink. I then adhered the grid and the red embossed squares onto my card base.
Next, I embossed a white card panel with Opaque Pastel Yellow embossing powder. From this panel, I die cut the letters for the word 'celebrate', using the Hello Bluebird Charlie Alpha die set.
I also die cut the same letters from white and black card, then layered them under the embossed yellow letters, offsetting the black layer for a shadow effect. I adhered these letters in the grid on my card.
Finally, I embossed a second sentiment on black card, using the Opaque Pastel Yellow embossing powder. I adhered it to the card with black foam tape to finish.
Have a lovely day,
Gemma

What a great idea to use the recipient's favourite football team colours Gemma, and love the shine on the red card and the yellow letters with the black shadow layer really pop. x
