Video with Verity: Create a Toteally Winter Scene

 

Hello, it's Verity with another video and blog post as a Creative team member for WOW! There are some fab trios of embossing powders, but this one is Toteally Amazing! I've got a greate card where you'll create a toteally amazing winter scene in no time, and the colour combo just shouts winter! So, if you're in full Christmas card making mode, this is right up your street!

Create a Toteally Winter Scene written tutorial:
Start off by stamping a selection of trees from the Catheriner Pooler Designs Jolly Trees stamp set in WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing ink onto white card. 

Next, cover half of the trees in The Real Teal embossing powder from the Toteally Amazing Trio from WOW! Embossing Powder. In addition, cover the other half of the trees with Iced Teal embossing powder from the trio. Use your WOW! dual speed heat gun to heat set the trees. 

For the background, use the Catherine Pooler Designs Throwing Confetti cover plate die to die-cut from a white piece of card panel. Make sure your card panel is cut to the size of a slim-line card and you'll need to run the die through twice to complete the background. Use liquid adhesive to adhere this down. 


To create the snow bank, cut out a snow bank from white cardstock cut to the same width of your cardbase. Add foam behind these and add them to the card base. For more interest, foam mount the trees onto the card to add varying depth and dimension. 



Heat emboss a senitment from the stamp set onto black card, and cover with Gilded Embossing powder Foam mount the senitment onto the front into the space between the trees. Finish the card off with some Starlight Sequins from Lucy's cards.
