Hello! Ericka here and today I'm playing with some Fab Foils and making lots of shiny backgrounds and cards.
I love the look of all the the fabulous colors of WOW! Embossing foils. For today's projects I used Dark Blue, Turquoise, and Pink. There are also a variety of ways you can use the foils. I had my MINC laminator out and decide to use that with the WOW! Bonding Powder.
To use the bonding powder, apply it like embossing powder to an image that has been stamped with embossing ink. Heat the powder until it is shiny. Then there are two way to apply your foil. The first way is to take the foil and place it on the hot bonding powder and wait till it cools before you remove it. The second way, which I used, is to run it through a MINC or laminator.
After I used the Turquoise foil for the stripes, I took the Pinkfesh Classic Word die and cut it from white cardstock. I smooshed it on the embossing ink and covered it with the bonding powder. After melting the powder, I took the pink and dark blue fab foils and ran them through the MINC to get a two tone look.
For my second card, I took a background I had previously made using a gel press and distress ink. Not a great background but wait till you see what foil can do to it!
I stamped the PaperArtsy butterfly image and heat embossed it with the bonding powder. I used Pink Fab Foil in my MINC and this beauty came out.
I added the Reverse Confetti Sentiment in black ink to finish off my second card.
I made one more card using the same technique. I used a watercolor background I had made and stamped the images from the Visible Image Creative Chaos set. This time, I used the dark blue foil and love the shine it added to the card.
I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it in Metallic Platinum. Side note - you can also heat emboss on top of the foil, which I have to try.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get a chance to try the Fab Foil.
There are so many beautiful colors and results are amazing. Have a wonderful weekend!

Three beautiful cards Ericka using some pretty foils and the thin stripes look great with the die cut sentiment, then a super idea to use a gel press background with that fabulous butterfly and lastly the wonderful watercoloured stripes with the amazing VI flower, and they all work so well. x
