This month, the WOW Embossing Facebook challenge theme is Nature. This is a lovely theme as it can incorporate lots of different styles.
For my card today, I've used the Caribbean Charm and Dockside trios to create a shimmering beach scene card.
I began by die cutting the Hello Bluebird Ocean Scene die from white card. I took the three wave pieces of the die and inked them with WOW clear embossing ink. I then used the three powders from the Caribbean Charm trio to add beautiful glittery colour to the sea. These powders are perfect for this as they have larger white pieces in which, when embossed, look like the surf on the waves.
On the beach part of the scene, I used the Sparkling Sand embossing glitter from the Dockside trio. Such a perfect sand texture and colour.
I added a blend of tumbled glass distress oxide ink to my card base before adhering all the pieces of the scene.
All my images and the sentiment are from the Hello Bluebird Seaside Girls stamp set, which I coloured with copic markers. I added the images to the card with either liquid glue or foam tape to complete my beach scene.
Have a lovely day,
Gemma
