Hello, hello, hello again...

I guess everyone is mid-Christmas frenzy and so I thought we all deserved a quick break from the Christmas machine for 5 minutes!

I decided on a floral make this time around and I was going to die-cut the flowers using pattered paper and then heat emboss the edges but I decided to go all out and colour the whole flower with powder instead as it gives a lovely subtle texture.

Using the Tattered Lace dies by Tim Holtz for Sizzix, I die-cut various floral shapes and for the leaves used Docrafts A5 Leaves die Set.

Having selected three gorgeous Wow! heat embossing powders: Vintage Romance, Vintage Champagne and Strawberry Sundae, I swiped the slow drying Wow! Embossing Pad over the die-cuts and heat embossed each colour.  For the leaves, I used two colours: Metalline Greengage and Metalline Kiwi Krush.
The card background was made using Distress Oxide Ink Pads: Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry.  Al smooched directly onto watercolour card before being spritzed with water.  Once dry, I've dripped on some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and a few white Posca pen splatters before swiping the embossing pad around the edges and heat embossing some beautiful Metallic Gold to create a frame.

Although happy with the background, I felt it needed something else and so grabbed Wow's old Sexy Hexi stamp and some clear gloss to just add some subtle texture tho pop through the florals.

To add the sentiment, I didn't want anything too harsh so embossed this wonderful sentiment ('Capture the Moment' from Visible Image) onto vellum using Opaque Bright White embossing powder.

With the sentiment in place, I could add the florals.  Using a ball embossing tool to add dimension to the flowers and leaves, I layered the different elements and added buttons or pearl adhesive gems to finish.
Lovely to work with such pretty colours at this time of year when it's usually rich, bold tones for Christmas.
As always, for lots more inspiration check out the Wow! blog and of course follow Wow Embossing Powder over on Instagram and on Facebook.

See you all soon I hope...
