Christmas Emboss Resist with Gemma

Today I have two cards to share using the emboss resist technique. I love this technique for creating backgrounds for cards.

For the first card, I cut a panel of white card and added stitching detail using the Lawn Fawn Just Double Stitching rectangle dies.

Using the Pretty Pink Posh Leaves & Berries stencil, I inked through the stencil with WOW clear embossing ink. I then added WOW Opaque Bright White embossing powder and heat set.

Next, I blended colour all over the panel with distress oxide inks in picked raspberry and candied apple. The embossing will resist the ink and stay white. I used a paper towel to remove any ink that was sitting on the embossing.

I flicked the panel with water for droplet details, then adhered the panel to my card base.

I repeated these steps for my second card, but used some blue cardstock, tumbled glass and blueprint sketch distress oxide inks, and WOW Silver Pearl embossing powder.

To finish both cards, I die cut the Pretty Pink Posh Season's Greetings Script die from white card several times, adhering together to make stacked sentiments. I then added a top layer die cut from glitter card. I also added some Pretty Pink Posh jewels around the card for more Christmas sparkle.

Have a lovely day,
Gemma

  1. Very pretty results using the PPP stencil and the resist technique and love the colours and the die cut sentiment you used on both cards. x
