Today I’m sharing a card using this month’s theme of Favourite WOW stamps. I used the Layered Hearts stamp set with neutral ultra shimmer embossing powder to create a pretty one layer card.
I began by lightly drawing a grid on a piece of card in pencil. This helps to keep everything lined up when stamping and will be easy to erase later.
Next, I chose some Altenew dye inks in the following colours:
- Coral Berry
- Fresh Lemon
- Bamboo
- Forest Glades
- Volcano Lake
- Dusk
- Hydrangea
- Puffy Heart
I used a stamp positioner to stamp each heart, then embossed with Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing powder. The dye ink stays wet just long enough to emboss but you can only do this process one heart at a time - stamp first, then emboss, and so on until the pattern is finished.
I then erased the pencil lines from around the embossed hearts, and adhered the panel to my card base.
I decided not to add a sentiment on this card as I like the pattern uninterrupted. It also makes the card more versatile as it could be used for different occasions, as needed.
