Today I’m sharing a card using this month’s theme of Embossing Glitters. I was inspired by the gorgeous Florida Sunset embossing powder to create a sunset beach scene.
I began with the background. I used the WOW clear embossing ink over a Triangles stencil from Pretty Pink Posh. I covered with the Florida Sunset embossing glitter, then heat embossed using the dual speed heat tool. I recommend heating from underneath when using embossing glitters, as more of the glitter stays put this way. I trimmed the panel down, then adhered to my card base.
Next, I die cut a wave border using a die from the Pretty Pink Posh Stacked Edges 1 set. I added a blend of blue distress oxide inks, then flicked with water for droplet details. I adhered this onto my card.
On another piece of white card, I added some yellow/orange distress oxide inks to create the sandy beach. I also added dots of copic markers which help to create look of sand. I adhered this to my card too.
I added images to my card, from Pretty Pink Posh Summer Surfboards and Tropical Birds, which I’d coloured with copic markers. I also adhered some PPP Espresso jewels to the tree to be coconuts.
Finally, I added a stacked die cut 'happy summer' sentiment, also from Pretty Pink Posh, to the sand.
Have a lovely day,
Gemma
Its wonderful beach scene ! I loved the embossed background.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the embossing glitter for the stencilled background Gemma, and love the bright colours for the waves and te sand, then the added surfboard and palm tree which work splendidly. I love that die cut sentiment too. x
