We are super excited to bring to you our get to know the designers a little more weekly series. This week we bring to you the talented Karen. Karen graced our design team this and constantly awes us all with her creations. Keep reading below a series of questions we have asked her to answer so you get to know her a little more.

1.- What is your favourite thing about crafting? When you have to live within your limits and hold your boundaries, CRAFTING is the answer! At least for me it is! It helps me so much to relax and get in such a great mood. It’s like my therapy. Now crafting is my PASSION because it makes truly and really happy!
2.- If you could chose to do anything to do for the day, what would it be?
Go to Switzerland and make a watercolor project with the Swiss Alps view from my room, (using WOW! Gold Embossing Powder as always!) and drinking hot cocoa! After that, I would visit a Chocolate Shop!
3.- Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion?
Not really. Since my two little ones were born I only wear leggings and hoodies. I became a very practical mom. Now, High Heels are only for Christmas and some other special occasions lol.
4.- What song would you say best sums you up?
I thought this was a good question but I have no answer to it, so I found a website where you have to answer a few questions and when you finish it would tell you which song sums you up. The answer was You’re Beautiful by James Blunt. I probably skipped a question, lol! Anyway, this was really fun!
5.- What is your favourite book to read?
Like Water For Chocolate by Laura Esquivel.
6.- Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
Chocolate! At least one small bite every day and if I’m crafting I need lots of Fererro Rocher truffles! My favorite chocolate since ever!

Hello shiny friends! I'm so glad I had shared a little bit about me today. It was so much fun and I'm so thankful to Jo for always being so wonderful and thoughtful with all of us! Today, I also have this awesome project. I used WOW! Metallic Gold Embossing Powder and Pinkfresh Studio Hanging Florals Stamp and Dies. The Classic Tags with Fillable Elements and the Braided Tag Essentials Die Sets, also from Pinkfresh Studio.
Let's shine! I applied Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink to a white panel using the Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blender Brushes. I adhered this panel to a white card base. Additionally, I added two stripes of Gina K Designs Wild Lilac cardstock to each side of the panel.
Next, I die cut lilac and white cardstock using the Pinkfresh Studio Braided Tag Essentials Die Set. I glued the white tag on top and stamped the sentiment using WOW! Embossing Pad and heat embossed it with WOW! Metallic Gold Embossing Powder. I added this tag to the card base.
Then, I stamped the images from Pinkfresh Studio Hanging Florals Stamp using WOW! Embossing Pad and heat embossed it with WOW! Metallic Gold Embossing Powder. I colored with Copic Markers and die cut using the coordinating dies. Finally, I arranged the images on top of the card and added a few jewels as the shiny touch!
For the tag, I used the Hanging Florals that I first stamped but didn't die cut correctly, so I decided to fuzzy cut the images and save as much as I could.
I started by die cutting two pieces of white cardstock using one of the Pinkfresh Studio Classic Tags with Fillable Elements Dies.
I applied Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink to the front tag and added some Gold and Sparkly washi tape to the other tag. I glued the tags one on top of each other.
Finally, I stamped the sentiments with WOW! Embossing Pad and heat embossed them with WOW! Metallic Gold Embossing Powder. I arranged the florals, added some jewels and a piece of lilac ribbon.
I really hope you liked my project for today! I had a great time using these products from Pinkfresh Studio. And I had so much fun telling you a bit about me. I'm just a busy crafty mom wearing leggings, eating chocolate and using WOW! Gold Embossing Powder for most of my projects! Have a bright and shiny day my beloved friends!
Karen
